Did anyone see the Hot Air Balloon flight on Groupon?

It names the flight as 'Characters in Flight'. Is this the ride in Downtown Disney? I think it is. The price is $11 - saving the purchaser $7. It expires on 4/23/14.

Yup, that's the one in Downtown Disney . I know they have ran a Groupon before....good to see them offering the same deal again!

Now, if they would just offer the same deal for the end of August.

Pay attention to the fine print! This offer expires April 23, 2014. The discount won't be any good after that date. You will end up with $11 or $20 certificates that can have that value applied to the full cost of the experience if you wait until after the expiration date to redeem them.

We travel the following week! I have wanted to try this. I guess $18 isn't a LOT, but it would have been nice to save the extra $7 per person.

Another consideration is that we have had trips where every time we checked it out the balloon was not going up do to high winds. If they are not doing rides when you go you might be out the money.

With Groupon you won't be out the $$$, you will get a credit for amount paid for offer, unless they have changed policy.

We went the last week of May/first week of June last year with this Groupon deal. We tried numerous times throughout our trip to use it, but the ride was always grounded due to winds. We received a credit with Groupon and still haven't used it. Overall, it was a pain making unnecessary trips to Downtown and calling to see if it was in flight.

Just for the record, this is not a "hot air" balloon as described by the original poster.

We also bought the Groupon and tried several times to use it, but the ride was always down due to high winds. We eventually gave up, and I forgot to ask for a credit after it expired.
