Characters at the Sequoia Lodge

Hello again!

Following the hotel poll (thank you to all who voted!) it seems Sequoia Lodge is the winner!

I have one thing I need cleared up though. When we stayed at SL before, there were signs for character meet & greets in the hotel, but we never saw anyone.

Please can someone tell me whereabouts in the hotel it takes place, and, I would love it if anyone has any photos I can show DD to prove to her that the characters are at SL and not just at HNY!!

The meets and greets in SL are just past reception (past the toilets and towards the door where you go out to the parks). There is a backdrop which they stand in front of. You often see Winnie the Pooh and Tigger there as well as the main 4
We have also seen Pluto wandering round the foyer area playing with the children - he spent ages with DD once as no one else was about - pinching her sunhat and wearing it himself then dancing with her

I can remember reading someone's trip report where they were sunbathing round the pool and Pluto (I think) grabbed a sunlounger and came and lay beside them!

There are some pics in my April and Nov 08 trip reports - on one of the trips Pluto just seemed to spend his time wandering around the hotel and I think we met Tigger just wandering around as well.

The meet area used to be just to one side of the kids play area at the top of the stairs where you go down to the restaurants.

This photo is from Feb 2010 - sorry for the poor quality. We took it on our way back from breakfast and I only had my phone. There were different characters every day and I am sure they were there again in the mid afternoon. We also saw Minnie, Chip and Dale and Pluto (and others but I cant remember). Didnt have photos with any others as we were always rushing to get in the park (but I do lurve Mickey).

When we stayed in 2009 and 2010 they had characters out every morning from 8 o clock. There were 2 characters each day that rotated every half hour. There was always a notice up in the evening saying which characters were going to be out the next morning although sometimes it did just say it would be a surprise.

I know exactly where it is now, I remember DD playing by there in the playarea, hadn't realised that was where they did the photos!

I was stalked by Pluto in the shop at the SL. I went back one afternoon & it was quite so I popped into the shop only to have Pluto turn up & start following me. The CM found it amusing, then he started taking things out the shop

Now I reeeeeeeally want us to meet Pluto in the hotel!!!! With all that mischief I think he'll get on well with DD & MIL!!

Isabelle has loved seeing photos of the characters at SL - I think she believes me now!!

I seem to recall seeing Eeyore at the backdrop as well.

Minnie helped us check in too. Wish we had pictures of that, it was rather magical.
