Characters at Extra Magic Hour

We're going back to WDW in a couple of weeks for a few days, accompanying my husband on a business trip. Because we've been a few times this year, and because of the heat and crowds, and because I am pregnant, we will be taking it VERY easy! I really want to focus on character photos and autographs for my daughter's scrapbook. What I want to know is if there are a lot of characters out at EMH at Animal Kingdom and MGM.Thanks!

At AK on EMH mornings, the characters come out and do their Welcome Cerimony at 7:55am. I'm pretty sure they do autographs after that. I haven't been to MGM during EMH so I have no idea if they're out then.
