Which character would you not want to have to be on a hot day? I guess if it is a character indoors, it's your call if you want to pretend they'd be outside to make your choice.

I picked Russell because I was walking next to him in AK, and just looking at all the padding in the costume, I thought it would be very hot inside. I know any furry ones would be bad too, but Russell just looked brutal.

Picked other. This one in August-please tell me there is AC, if not it's 150 degrees in 15 minutes, 191 degrees in 30 in there. :crazy2:

My best friend who works for Chase had to dress in a costume for some event they were doing and the night before she froze these ice pack things that you stick inside the costume to keep her cool. She had no problem with the heat (Maybe a 6 hour event). Does Disney not do this for their CMs?

I don't know if they do or not. I just know alot of the characters that don't show their face, will M&G for a bit, go for a break of like 2-3 minutes. I figured they were bringing someone else out to replace them due to the heat. But it is very possible they have some type of cooling thing in the costumes.

From what I can remember hearing, they tried cooling systems, but they didn't work well. I think they were too bulky and more trouble than anything. I think you just "tough it out" as a fur guy for a very short 15 minute set. I know that as a Rebel Legion SWW person, I hung out in the shade pre-parade, drank lots of water and then acclimated to the heat. Favorite and funniest thing I saw was a couple of fur guys sitting of those horse shower racks (they use it for the draft horses at the kingdom) post parade in their Disney-issued fur short-shorts and tees with the water blasting on high over them!! They looked so miserable and hot!

My sister is good friends with Chip and Dale, and says its difficult for them because they're expected to be so active, run around, goof off with people, etc. Not having ever been in the situation myself though, I'd say all of them, too.

I'm surprised it helped. In my occupation there has been occasional call to work in a very hot area for a few hours at a time, and our safety personnel used to try to try to put ice vests on us to say they were doing something to help us. I always found that they melted and saturated to body temperature within 15 minutes and you were just standing around with extra weight to carry for the remainder of the job. We eventually convinced them that we were better off if they let us rest in a cool place and hydrate between our tours of duty.

Real answer .... ANY of them wearing fur in Animal Kingdom, aka the hottest happy place on Earth.

I picked Chip & Dale for this reason, too. The Mickey gang and the Pooh gang don't have to do as much running around. Still, my real vote is for any of them! The princesses might not have furry costumes but those dresses have layers upon layers of hot material.

A picked Disney Princess because, well, I'm a guy and that would be awkward for everyone.

i'd never want to be a princess. layers and layers of thick, heavy dress material PLUS thick makeup and a wig? all while you have to have to fake that you aren't dying from the heat? forget that nonsense. if i'm going to be hot and sweaty, i'd rather be in a suit i can stuff gel ice packs in or at least no one can watch my make up melt off like in that end scene from indiana jones and the raiders of the lost ark. if i'm going to bake to death, i'd rather it be semi private.

I chose other 'cause I thought of Maleficent with that heavy horn hat, robe and green face, but I agree that any of them are brutal. Well, maybe not so much for Tink and other Faries ;)

i saw any one if a full body costume (Mickey, Goofy, Doug ect...)

the princes and princesses yes they are fully dressed but their faces are uncover and able to breath freely
