UH OH-- No more Captain Hook and Smee and Peter Pan isn't by the pirates ride anymore? DD is going to flip out. She is a Peter Pan fanatic. Hopefully meeting Jessie for the 1st time will balance it out- as on her 2 WDW trips she has only seen her in Parades. She is not huge on Toy Story, but she does like the characters. I sure hope Peter spends a lot of time in Fantasyland, because if she doesn't get to hug him, I'm going to have a very sad 3 year old. Thanks so much for the update!

The Peter Pan DS met last month was wonderful!! He chased him around and played with him, and him and Wendy both hugged him and signed his book. These are only a few of the pics... we have many more! Good luck! April

OH HOW cool! YES! They were great! Very personable! I told DH that they were REALLY in character! Peter Pan got kind of catty with a toddler and it was so cute! The baby did'nt want to come to him and he said "I did'nt want a hug anyways!" Just like something that he would say in the movie; same mischievious attitude!

Wow, good to hear the Brother Bears are back. Will be on the lookout for them on my upcoming 1st WDW trip next month, would be very nice if I could meet them.

What time does Baloo usually appear at the Oasis? He's one of my all-time favorites and I definitely make it a point to meet him as many times as possible, so any information about where and when exactly he gets out is very helpful for me. I did not meet him before and look forward to see my childhood hero for the very first time.

Also, does Baloo still meet along the path from Africa to Asia? Any other places throughout WDW at which he's likely to show up? Does he appear at MVMCP for example?

It you walk towards the tea cups from the Storybook Theater he was on that side of the attraction.

The best times to see Robin Hood are in August, January, and May; but he does pop out at other times too. He is usually out in the tear drop!

Are they really soft?

Amazingly soft, of course I saw them on their first day, second set!

The Brother Bears are not back, Saturday was their last day. Thumper and Miss Bunny have replaced them.

What time does Baloo usually appear at the Oasis? Also, does Baloo still meet along the path from Africa to Asia? Any other places throughout WDW at which he's likely to show up? Does he appear at MVMCP for example?

The best time for Oasis greetings are when the park opens until about 1:30ish. But yes, Baloo does meet in the greeting trails path between Africa and Asia and he is there nearly all day with King Louie.

Baloo can also appear in other random places, such as the tear drop. I've never been to MVMCP so I do not know who is there, but he is currently meeting at MNSSHP in Adventureland.

Thanks for the info. I just hope the White Rabbit will still be there when we get there. He is my DH's fav character and we have never seen him before. Maybe we will be lucky and catch Robin Hood somewhere, but at least my DS will get to see Jesse (a new fav).

I just noticed Bolt in your signature line...WHERE and WHEN was this...I would love to see them.

I LOVE seeing the characters and am always hunting new ones..or even the regulars but in different outfits etc.

Most of the current characters will stay the same until at least next spring - maybe longer. White Rabbit also makes surprise appearances at UK with Alice.

Correct - he has now been replaced by Lilo and Stitch. These character changes took place yesterday and will be in place at least until next spring.

Bolt, Mittens and Rhino were out November 08-May 09 when they were replaced by the UP characters.

That is the best Peter Pan ever! We saw him both last December and this May and he was one of the absolute best characters with DD (and we had some really great ones). He had her sitting in his lap on the ground and was playing with her, and both trips he made her feel really special. (She was 2 years old on her 1st WDW trip and 3 on her 2nd) When we walked away in May DH whispered to me "If I didn't know better, I'd swear that was really Peter Pan". (My response was "What are you talking about- of course that's Peter Pan!")

I saw them in DHS inside the animation area (right were you go in to make your own drawing). This is the best spot to find Pixar characters (except Woody/Buzz).

My wife loves to chat with all the CM escorts, and finds out all sorts of times/places for seeing hard to find characters.

A good spot to get some rare characters is in AK, inside the building that has the vetrinary clinic. You have to take the train to get there. (Sorry, bad with remembering names.)

Daisy Duck is another rare one that we caught just to the right of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT (to the right as you enter the park).

Anybody know if the animation building still gets an influx of random characters about 5pm? And if so, would this only be on Fantasmic nights? Just thinking they might show up there on their way to F! and not be there on off nights?

We need to get Marie, Thumper, and Jessie this trip! We just watched Toy Story 2 last night. I forgot how good it was.

As many of you know I am an avid character hunter... and as history has shown, with the temperatures changes we see character changes. So I went to visit the parks to see what I could find...

Thumper and Miss Bunny are now meeting at Camp Minnie/Mickey. I talked to the attendant and it sounds like Koda and Kenai have returned to the forest for good, Kenai needs more practice at being a bear.

Peter Pan is now meeting over in Fantasyland, with no sign of Wendy. You can find him between Philharmagic and Tinker Bell's Treasures.

Goofy and Donald are now meeting together near Country Bear Jamboree to make room for the return of our favorite toys - Jessie and Woody. You can find them where the day parade exits next to Splash Mountain.

It looks like with the removal of Peter Pan from Adventureland, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee have left the MK and returned to Neverland (they are still meetable at MNSSHP).

At the Veranda, the former location for Rafiki (and Timon awhile back) we now find Lilo and Stitch (no longer in Tomorrowland). They are paired well with the Island theme on that side of the land, especially with Aloha Isle there. Rafiki is still meetable at DAK.

I did not visit the other two parks, but I heard word that Marie is now much more common in France!

I always ask the characters something related to their storyline when I meet them. I asked Thumper about being Twitterpatted with Miss Bunny around. I asked White Rabbit something about being late and needing a watch. By asking questions I usually get more interesting poses with the characters.


ALSO - I've created my own Character Website with all of my character experiences... being a CM I have a pretty good idea where and when a character will be out - so check it out to get greeting information! It's still a work in progress, hope to have it done by the end of the week! I'd love feedback!
