Character Swap - Progress Thread - COMPLETE & FINISHED

I'm almost done, just the white parts to glue on.

The hardest part was getting my Cricut to cut the face all the way through without tearing. I put a new blade in last time I used it & it has been cutting gorgeously so I know it isn't dull. I cut slow, I cut fast, I cut paper, I cut cardstock. I changed the pressure & the depth. Oh my goodness.

They are 5 1/4. He isn't as professional as I would like, but he's good enough, or should I say the best I could do. He's cute. I've cut out tons of paper piecing & normally thorough enjoy it. I like that kind of thing. But he is super hard. Give me a princess anytime.

Plus half way through I had to put the baby down for a nap. And then I had to make dinner. And shortly I'll have to do the dishes. Ya know? But gosh darnit, by bed I'm gonna have some finished Beasts.

Good one! They are done. I'm happy with them & it ended better than it began. The only thing I'm not totally thrilled with is there isn't any place in my town to buy stickles so I got Martha Stewart a gold glitter pack. It's pretty but ya'll with better products may be tweaking them when you get them. My girls ADORE them so I'm happy.

Now tomorrow (for those in my group) I will be making a rectangle title/quote that says, "Be our guest" with a Mrs. Potts border on it. So if you hate that, speak now or forever hold your piece.

That sounds cute! I'm sure I'll be happy with the Beast. I haven't been brave enough to try one yet. If I did, I'd start at 7 at the smallest -- too chicken to try any smaller!

I'm sure your Beast looks great! I like your idea for your title/quote. I'm not in that group though.

Susan, all of those look great! I especially love the Safari Mickey set. I'm so glad I'm in both groups so I get that. I anything animal related!!!! Your slidemounts look really good. Way to go on your first set of those!!!!

I know check in isnt for another week but Ive made some really good progress in the past 2 days:

Fab 5~ Goofy~Done (including bagged!)
Princess~ Aurora ~half done (corners are done and working on mats)
Bugs Life~Mats are done and will be working on topper later or tomorrow
Country Bears~ Paper pulled, have embellies and at least know what Im going to do!
Hook~ paper pulled but still thinking

This swap is due before we go to DL for Easter so I think Im making pretty good progress!

My titles/signage for all three of my groups are done. I have prototypes for paper piecings (and the rest printed already) for Frozone and Jafar and just have to figure out what my other piece will be for Meeko. He's DS8's favorite so I have to do him justice!

Coolcat finished her groups yesterday. I'll post photos later.

I worked on Chip & Dale yesterday --- OMG! They weren't hard to piece together (at 5 1/2) but it was a million pieces and I cut them both at the same time. Mistake! I finished at 1:30am last night -- but I am missing a set of Dale's eyelids (2 different colors) and will have to cut them again

I have Gov Ratcliffe cut and ready for assembly. I have a song printed for FGM. I had to re-purchase a bunch of stuff because I left J's without my
2nd bag ($10 worth of stuff) and they didn't have it when I called them 2 hours later.

So I have 2 groups to finish, 1 group to assemble, and 1 group with a touch up.
