Character swap - progress thread!! CLOSED & COMPLETE

NemoMom- I love these. So creative and that pumpkin is amazing!

Thanks. The pumpkin was a pita, but I got it to work, except for the vines. The little green leaves I had to trim a little.

Traci I love the clock tower. That does look like it took a long time. Amazing.... as always.

Last night I was working on my "A" for the villians. I was playing around and have two different ideas. I can not (even after sleeping on it) figure which one I like best, so can you all help me decide?

The one on the left is a take on the character Urusala. I tried to picture it with what others will make and thought it might look pretty cool just with the tenicles. The one on the right is her actual silhoutte(sp?). The "A" 's may look different colors, but they are not. It is holographic paper so it is very shiny.

WOW! I love them. THe paper is absolutely perfect! I do like both. I vote for the first one though since you can see more of the paper. What font did you use?

I cut these letters on SCAL. The font I used was Harry Potter. I had to get AWM to help me with cutting the holographic paper. It was a PITA. I only had one sheet of it and I could not mess up to much.

Okay one vote for the one on the left and one vote for either...

I like them both. I'm no help. I hate to see the paper covered up, but I really like her whole shadow as it is a bit more sinister.

I am not in this swap, but I love the A for the villain group! Both look great! When it is not the full silhouette, it reminds me of the thorny brush that Maleficent surrounds the castle with. :thumbsup2

Great work everyone! :goodvibes

Jennifer-the font's called Harry P Regular-I downloaded it a few months ago. Can't remember where I got it-if you do a search you should be able to find it pretty easily.

Shawn-I love both of your A's! I think I like the one on the left better too. :thumbsup2

Great work everyone!!!:lovestruc

Okay here is my last one: group 19- Daisy. It took me awhile to find and "i" that was more than just a straight line. I wanted something with a little more flow than straight down. There are 2 different types of flowers I used so some have one and some have the other. I might add some yellow stickles to the top layer.

Just went back and added yellow stickles to the top layer. Thanks everyone with helping on my "A" for villians. I am keeping a tally.

Nenomom - I love the I's!! The curvy is perfect! LOL when it first showed up on my computer, I could only see the flowers. So, it looked like that was it...then I scrolled down!!! LOL :rotfl2:

More great pieces!
I'll throw my vote into the hat and go with the full Ursula A. That's very cool paper!

WDWMickey, your Beast letter looks great!

MyCutiePatooties, love the clock tower!

NemoMom, the curved "i" for Daisy is perfect! I also like both your Villains letters. I'm not in that group so my vote doesn't count, but I like the silhouette one best!

Great job everyone!!!!!

I love the letters that have been posted!!! :lovestruc

Here is my progress on my last group, I have the Fairy Godmother....

I am thinking of doing 4 embellished squares...would that be ok? (I didn't see them on the first post...but I could have missed em!) I am hoping that I can bring the colors together and give these 2 pieces a cohesive look...which I think these are lacking right now.

Any advice or ideas are appreciated :)

These are great!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think you have fulfilled the requirements -- one element is the paper piecing and the 2nd element is the topper.

But to answer your question, 4 squares is an element.

Maybe change the black layer to one of the colors in the godmother's dress? That may give you the cohesive-ness you are looking for.
