Character report, 12/9-15 Possible new meeting area

We were only looking for 10 characters this trip, and we were traveling with people who would not be patient enough for us to do much looking.

3 Cabelleros - First day in Epcot, we missed them by 5 minutes on the only time we were able to try. Went back another day & found Jose & Donald, but Panchito wasnot appearing that day. We had a little girl run up to Donald while it was DD's turn. No big deal, but it turned into one. The mother ran up & started taking pictures. The CM jumped in front of her to block her from taking pictures & told her there was a line (which maybe had 6 families in it). The lady said "She's already there, so I'm taking my turn now". The CM went over to her & they exchanged words, and the lady stomped off, dragging the little girl.

Snow Prince, Scrooge, Bert, and Belle in Christmas dress - we found all at MVMCP, but the day we had tickets for was rainy (12/14), and they weren't out (unless they were in Toontown). We wouldn't have gotten them, but a very kind DISer had to cancel her trip & sent me tickets for the 12/12 party, so we got them all that day.

Clarice - still no Clarice. I asked several times on 12/11, but was told that she wasn't appearing that day. Same thing happened on the 2 days we tried back in Sept/Oct. We have a trip planned for next fall, but as of now, it doesn't include a day at MGM.

Figment - we already had a picture, but didn't have the stamp. First 2 days at Epcot, we missed him. Wasn't planning a 3rd day, but ended up going in for a few hours & found him.

Rabbit - We've been trying for 3 years. If we had been alone, we would have speant alot of time tracking him down, but it just wasn't possible. My Dad wanted to see HISTA, so on our last day 12/15, late afternoon (I'm guessing around 4:30) we headed over there. On 12/11, around the same time, I saw characters over to the right of Journey into the Imagination - Mr. Smee, Rafiki, Big Al, Minnie, Mickey. I glanced over this time, and saw RABBIT! Way in the back. Went over and got in line, and the CM said they were going in in 4 minutes. We got him though. I can't tell you who else was out that day, except Wendell, because he came over & tried to pull DD out of Rabbit's line so she could see him instead. I nicely told him that we'd already seen him, and pulled DD back in line.

8 out of 10 is pretty good, but I wish we'd gotten Clarice.

I would love to know where you mean you saw Rabbit?? We want to meet him some bad! Can anyone tell me what location she is talking about?

I just wanted to let you know that we saw Clarice in MK at the Toontown Hall of Fame. She was with Chip and Dale (all 3 had 1 spot w/1 photopass person)! In the same room was Mary Poppins and Princess Aurora(she was the mystery star - or whatever they call it).

Just thought you may want to give it a try since you wont be able to make it to MGM!

Vickie46 - As you're walking up to the Imagination Pavillion at Epcot, it's the right hand side of the building (closest to the The Land).

That's an interesting location at Epcot. And as for Belle and Snow White on 12-14, they were moved inside Toontown.

I really hope Rabbit comes back out this week!!! My little girl even has him a carrot! Crazy I know! Its a fake one from Hobby Lobby... she loves to bring characters little surprises!

When we were at MGM on 12/8 we saw clarice in front of the hat. She was trading spaces with the Chipmunks every 30 min or so. We were in a rush and couldnt meet her. Nor did we see figment except when we went by on the monorail. I saw him and rushed over there on the way to dinner at Le Cellier. He was nt there so we went to dinner. I then found out he was out but it was behind the building i was looking at ARRGGGHH

I was looking for Rabbit when we were there but didn't find him. Our last day of the trip was 12/11 but we had already left by 4:30. We saw characters one day in that spot by the Imagination pavilion too-it's almost a hidden spot and none of the characters had lines.

Thanks for the detailed character report, angels's momma!! I heard briefly about this spot around Imagination pavillion being used for characters sometime last year, but not recently. I never seen anyone but Figment in that area! And what a great find when you met Rabbit there!

Last month I met Clarice by the Big Hat, and also in the ToonTown Hall of Fame, which was a big surprise! She was listed as a mystery character in Chip and Dale's room. But sad to know she wasn't appearing when you were at MGM.

The group of characters you saw at the Imagination area at Epcot sound very similar to the ones I saw at the American Adventure last month. So I wonder if the Imagination pavillion area is also a character training meet? Now the big question is - is this area being used instead of the American Adventure, or in addition to? Hmmmm, the little character mysteries of Disney World!

I suppose that was during the "Welcome Show", right? And that she immediately left Main Street for Toontown as soon as the show ended.

Getting back on topic, what times of the day are those random characters at the Imagination pavilion?

And does this mean that they're not doing their training sets at the American Adventure anymore?

I met Rabbit in August outside of WWTBAM. Sort of off to the left of the entrance - across from the Playhouse Disney characters.

We did see Figment at the Imagination Pavillion in August also. It will be interesting to see what characters are at that location when we are there next week!!!

There is no way to know what times they are there. That is why they are random times.

I am still pondering this issue! Is there anything going on at the American Adventure that would interfere with the character greet there? Maybe the Candlelight processional (but that is at night, I think), or maybe the crowds on the sidewalks are too large getting close to Christmas? Maybe we will never know! I'll guess on my next trip I'll keep an eye on both the American Adventure and the Imagination pavillion!
