Anybody else have any stories about mixing up character identities?

I was in MGM once and Mulan was making an appearance. I was near a woman who screamed to her child at the top of her lungs, over and over, "Look honey, it's Moulin Rouge"! :rotfl2:

I'm guilty myself. I once passed princess: Sleeping Beauty/Aurora and said, "Hi Cindy!"
She smiled politely, but about 2 seconds later I realized my mistake and was soooooo embarassed!

We were at Chef Mickey's for dinner one night and Chip came up and kissed my DS on the head. I yelled out "Oh yuck, gopher germs!" Chip started crying and made a big deal about it. We still laugh about it to this day when we see anything Chip and Dale.

This spring I over heard a man MK call out to Chip & Dale "It's Alvin and the Chipmunks!"

On our first Disney cruise, my daughter was only 3. Every time we saw Chip and Dale, she would holler "look the squirrels!" or "there are the squirrels". It was pretty funny and to this day it is a family joke. Chip and Dale are "the squirrels" to us!

We mix Chip and Dale up all the time and they do act totally offended. It's really funny. If it happens when we're at the Liberty Tree, they take some food off the table and run away with it. :earboy2:

Is it true that you can tell Chip & Dale apart by their noses? I've heard that Chip has a dark brown nose, just like a chocolate chip!

My dd was so excited to see Chip and Dale once she called them Chip an Dip. We never laughed so hard , so they will ever be called Chip and Dip!!! :rotfl:

Yes, and we mentioned it to him at Chef Mickey's "Oh hi Chip, we knew it was you because of your chocolate chip nose." He liked that! LOL ;)

You think the "character insiders," ahem, ever forget who they are? Like, if you were both Chip and Dale on different days, would you think "I can't remember which one I am supposed to be!" Maybe I am the only one with short term memory issues. LOL

I always tell them apart because DaLe has the David Letterman teeth(a cap in the center).

In 2003 my brother's girlfriend had her pictures developed while we were still down there. While looking through her pictures she incorrectly identified a character as 'one of the dwarfs'...and I said 'No, that's Sam Sneed' :rotfl: (golfer)

of course I meant 'Mr. Smee' from Peter Pan  . We still chuckle every time we see him.

A few years ago there was a penguin on the path from the Castle to Toontown and everyone was calling him Wheezy, and he was shaking his head no the CM with him was saying that he wasn't Wheezy, but we still don't know who he was.

Well, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this one, but my DH, DS and DD teased me about this for the whole week on our last trip. (And again when we pull out the photo albums)

We stayed at PC last year and our room was right beside the giant "Tramp". When we checked in and headed to our room, I was so excited, I said, "Look, it's Scamp!!" DH was quick to correct me of course and all week long the kids and DH said, "Look mom, it's Scamp!" , everytime they thought of it!

He was one of the penguins from Mary Poppins.

Pic, I think he may have been a penquin from Mary Poppins...I see him in pictures with her alot!

Okay - brace yourselves! This tops all the others!

When my son was alomst 2 we waited in line to see Mickey. My son was so excited - he ran right up and screamed "POOH"! As in Winnie the Pooh! :rotfl2: Needless to say we got A LOT of strange looks!

I guess all the characters were "POOH" to him - he didn't really say many words at the time. :confused3

I was guilty of yelling there is Belle in her blue dress, and my 8 yo yelled back that is WENDY DARLING!

Guilty as charged!

That's funny! I'm sure that it's rare for Mickey to be called the wrong name!
I wonder if anybody ever calls him "Mighty Mouse"! :earboy2: :rotfl2:
