Character meet and greets or dining...

For princesses, there is probably no better way to meet them than Ariel's Grotto. It is a meal, and avoids the lines at PFF. It is pricey but worth it IMO. Perhaps the cost and time savings might depend on how long you will be at DLR
 
I would second Ariel's Grotto. The food may not be that great, but it sure beats wasting time in line waiting for the princesses!!
 
I'm trying to figure out what to do about princesses also, but my dd is only two. Her favorite princess is Tiana (the only princess movie that she has sat through-multiple times). She knows who a few others are, but I wouldn't say she's princess crazy. And of course our 6yo ds is definately not into princesses. We already have Goofy's and Minnie's booked. I hope we can see Tiana in New Orleans and Cinderella at the drawing show in DCA and we might try PFF. I don't think it would be worth the money for us to do Ariels.
