Character meals!

Nearly time to book the ADRs! We are doing two character meals. They will be lunch or dinner. I fancy trying a couple we have never done and are considering tusker house and chef Mickey or maybe garden grille. Any thoughts. We won't be doing crystal palace, Ohana brekkie or the princess meal this time. Thanks!! Oh and we aren't in the dining plan. X

Tusker house is one of my favourite places to eat

Had very good character interaction there last year - Donald, Goofy, Micky, Minnie, Daisy - all in their safari costumes.

Another vote for Tusker house!

We like to have a late breakfast there - get to park for rope drop, do safari & Everest then eat about 10.30. If you time it right you get the change over to lunch too, so best of both worlds menu-wise.

Chef Mickey was too crowded and noisy for us on the one occasion we ate there. It was hard work to get to the buffet and back through the kids running everywhere.
Garden Grille is a great option - much less crowded and a unique setting.

Tusker House was OK, I wouldn't say it was great, but certainly nice enough. Garden Grille, made my wife and I sicker than dogs, so I couldn't recommend that! I would definitely recommend 1900 Park Fare.

We loved all 3 - best character interaction was at garden grill (food was great too).

Garden grill was great for us! The character interaction with DD was wonderful - Chip wrote in her autograph book "I'm nuts about you", and fell over when she gave him a kiss!
We liked Chef Mickeys well enough but thought crystal palace food was much nicer!
We didn't like Tusker house at all!

We love chef mickeys, have only ever been for dinner and it was fab. Loved the characters and the atmosphere there. You have just reminded me about garden grill (how could I forget!) I think this will be added to our character dining list for nov. The characters are great there and really spend time interacting with each table. We didn't like tusker house when we did it, not the same atmosphere and the food was only ok

You just named our 2 favourites!

We found Tusker house by accident ( didn't even realise it was a character meal) we just happened to be extra hungry 1 morning and so stopped by for a late breakfast found it brilliant and have gone every time since!

Chef Mickeys was one we had never gone to and when we went in October we decided since our boys are 10,7,7 that the oldest might not be into character meals next trip and so we thought we must try it once!
We went for dinner in our 1st night and LOVED it, I've read loads if bad/good reviews and have to say we really enjoyed our food! I had beef and it was really great ( I'm fussy when it comes to food) hubby had salmon and beef and boys had a bit if EVERYTHING lol dessert was good too, character interaction was lovely here and I thought it way better then the likes if Crystal palace and that is a tradition for us, one that way may just have to break though as sadly it doesn't do it for me anymore

Tusker house and garden grille are our favs along with crystal palace

I dont rate chef mickeys much feel too rushed everytime we visit

We also love hollywood and vine breakfast with disney junior but our girls are young so watch them on tv
