Wondering which character meal would be best for 6 yr. old boy and 4 yr. old girl. We will only have time to do one meal

Here is our non-princess favorites in no particular order:

Donald's Breakfastosaurus - The Animal Kingdom features a character breakfast, called Donald's Breakfastosaurus located at the Restaurantosaurus in Dinoland USA. Characters include Donald, Goofy, Mickey, and Pluto.

Crystal Palace - Head down Main Street, USA and make a left at Casey's Corner! This restaurant serves three meals per day with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.

Chef Mickey's - Contemporary Resort - serves breakfast and dinner with Chef Mickey, Chip, Dale and Chef Goofy.

"Playhouse Disney's Play 'N Dine at Hollywood & Vine" with Jo Jo and Goliath from "Jo Jo's Circus" and June and Leo from "The Little Einsteins". Breakfast and lunch feature the characters singing and dancing to favorite Playhouse Disney songs.

The Garden Grill - Chip and Dale's Harvest Feast - Located in the Land Pavilion in the Future World section of Epcot this restaurant features lunch and dinner with Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Pluto, all attired "farmer-style"

Liberty Tree Tavern - This Liberty Square restaurant features a family-style dinner with several characters (Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and friends).

I really like the breakfast in Tusker House, AK. There were lots of good characters and tons of food.

Chef Mickey's was fun too, but it was more of a fun atmosphere than a good food type of place.

If you can only eat one character meal then I would definitely choose Chef Mickey's. :thumbsup2 The atmosphere is wonderful. :woohoo: You meet all the main characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale. They have a super sundae bar for the kids at lunch and dinner. :yay: The food is just ok for a buffet. Nothing great but it has all the kid foods. The kids will have a blast. My kids are 9 and 5. We are going in March and my son chose it as his pick. Hope this helps.

All of the character meals are alot of fun. You may want to choose based upon what characters they want to meet the most. Allears.net has a listing of what characters are at what meals.

Liberty Tree Tavern is no longer a character meal. It will be featuring characters for about a month when the Crystal Palace is under renovation. You can check the boards for the exact dates.

The character breakfast in AK is no longer at the Restaurontasaurus (sp? LOL) it is at the Tusker House and we saw Donald, Goofy, Daisy and Mickey there. It is very fun but we have found from 5 visits that the characters do seem a bit in a rush here.

Crystal Palace in MK-Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. Buffet style

Chef Mickeys is always a fun time.

Ohana Breakfast at Poly. Breakfast family style with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

1900 Park Fare Dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine & the Stepsisters. They are hilarious!!

Before you go, make sure they are ok with the characters in costume. DD5 swore up and down that she was so excited to go to Crystal Palace. She even rushed us that morning, "Hurry up mommy, we don't want to miss breakfast with Winnie the Pooh. You know how I love Winnie the Pooh." Needless to say, she spent most of the breakfast under the table. The staff was great with her though, and at the very end they convinced her to take a pic with him, and she even willingly with a smile gave him a high 5, thanks wholly to the CM's there! The princesses were a different story. She was all over them (and the prince) at 1900 PF that night, they couldn't get to our table fast enough so a couple times she went over to get them. Kids! :lmao:
