My question is this. I am planning on how much we will need for tips and somewhere I read that Cinderellas Royal Table and Mickeys Backyard BBQ already have the tip included in the price if on the dining plan. Now I am just checking to make sure this is true and also wondering if you guys normally give extra or feel what they include is sufficiant enough. THanks in Advance. I'm starting to feel overwhelmed as we leave in 25 days!!!!

The gratuity IS included at those dining venues when you are using your dining credits to pay for your bill. Generally, that tip is 18% of the pre-tax total value of the meals for your party. You are not obligated to tip more than that but if you feel that your server has gone above and beyond the ordinary to make your meal magical, a little extra would be a nice way to show your appreciation.

I doubt the servers get 18%. When Disney first had the dining plan, and the tips were included (this was in the first couple of years ) the servers only got $3 per head. Disney did not want that to be public information. I am sure they get more than that, but doubt it is 18%.

Even if we eat at a "tip included" restaurant we lay down a tip. That has always been our policy.

So the tip included works at Hoop De Doo as well? What about Akershus Princess Storybook?

Hoop De Doo - yes

Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus - no
