Everyone was so helpful with my last question that I thought I would ask one more!

We are going in May and want to do a Character meal. What is the best? Here are a few things to keep in mind about my family.
1. I have boys. Although I would LOVE a princess breakfast, they couldn't care less if Mickey isn't there. So, not a princess one. They also don't really like Pooh.
2. We have done the Breakfast-o-sauris (I know I spelled that wrong! :guilty: ) already.
3. Although a breakfast is fine if it is the best, I think we would prefer a lunch / dinner.

Thanks for all your help and advise! :wave2:

We really enjoy Chef Mickey's and Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner). LTT is served family style so it pretty relaxing since you don't have to keep getting up to refill your plate. There is also a new character meal coming to Hollywood & Vine that is rumored to have Pixar characters like Buzz and Mr Incredible.

I vote for the Garden Grill at EPCOT. The characters are Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. We had lunch there and the food was terrific; fried catfish, flank steak, smoked chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed vegies, stuffing, and cherry cobbler w/ice cream for dessert. They also brought us all the children's items, even though I have two teens, which included chicken strips and mac and cheese.
The characters came around several times and the interaction was great. We had a booth on the revolvong floor and that was really cool.

i would suggest chef mickey's my 12 yr old DS'Sons loved it here. we had a late res for dinner and we saw each of the characters at least 4 times.Mickey even personalized a signature for one of my soms friends mom. Goofy who is my other sons fav. had a tickle fight with chip and dale and my son as we were leaving. It made my son's trip. Food was hot and good and service was wonderful.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. The food is good and the kids enjoy it. Once an hour(or maybe every 30 minutes??) the characters dance around and the kids twirl the cloth napkins around. We were lucky the night we went because Donald Duck was there...don't see him just anywhere.

We also like the food at The Crystal Palace and depending on how old your boys are they might enjoy the Pooh characters. The entertainment here is the kids parading around the restaurant following Pooh and the gang.

My kids really enjoyed Chef Mickeys in Feb. especially since it was a buffet and they could choose what they wanted to eat. The chef even made a special bowl of buttered noodles for my daugher who doesn't like mac & cheese. The ice cream sundae bar and warn c. chip cookie station was also a big hit. We were visited several times by Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip & Dale. It was a much better time then the Garden Grill where it is a set dinner.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. My sons love to eat there for dinner! They love the buffet and being able to choose what they want to eat. Plus they love the characters and the fun atmosphere. :goofy: :mickeyjum :donald:

Liberty Tree Tavern.

My favorite meal is breakfast at the Crystal Palace. They happen to have Pooh characters, but if they disappeared, it'd still be my fave. Try to hit it if you can.

I would agree with HunnyPots and say the Garden Grill at Epcot, far and away the best character meal. The characters come around many times, and are generally more playful (I've seen Chip mischeviously dropping sugar packets on guests, and Chip and Pluto got into a kind of battle while I was there), plus you have the interesting revolving restaurant. The food is much better at Liberty Tree Tavern, but because of the layout of the restaurant, you actually don't get as much character interaction.
