Character Meals without Park Admission

We are coming down to Orlando for a week but this trip is going to be Universal focused where our fall 2017 trip will be Disney focused.

I would still like to go to a character meal but I know most of them are OFF LIMITS as you need Theme Park admission.

I can think of Chef Mickey's off hand. Anything else? I heard you now have to park to go to see the resort as well? If so what is that cost.

There are characters for breakfast at both Ohana (Poly) and Cape May Cafe (Beach Club). Also, you can meet characters for breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare (GF).

If you have a reservation at Chef Mickey's you do not have to pay to park at the contemporary resort. They often have character meals at Wilderness not sure if its the campground or the fort, but the dining call center could help with that.

Chip and Dale do a campfire thing at Fort Wilderness. Not quite a meal, but, like, there are marshmallows.

1900 park fare - breakfast is pooh, Mary popping, mad hatter, etc..

Dinner is Cinderella and family including step sisters

Cape May is breakfast only. I think it's the cheapest of the non-park character meals and it's $30/ adults and $16/ children.
Chef Mickey's is a great experience but boy oh boy is it expensive. I went there in October. The ribs were amazing but the rest of the food was okay.

We've had good experiences at 1900, Ohana and Cape May all for breakfast. I believe Ft Wilderness also has the Mickey backyard bbq but we've never done that one.
