I keep 2nd guessing myself.

I want a special meal for the last day at WDW. I have an early ADR for 1900 Park Fare. I keep 2nd guessing myself.

1) It is early enough that I think we would make it to rope drop, but then again, that's early to be totally packed and out of the hotel room by myself with a 5 year old.

2) Did I mention that I will be by myself with a 5 year old? When we did character meals before, we had 4 adults and 1 2 year old...it was very easy to take turns getting food to make sure we did not miss a character/photo op...will this be a problem?

3) I am worried that it borders on being too girly...but I figure that this is my last chance to do something remotely girly at WDW (unless I have another baby :rotfl:)

ETA: We won't be alone the whole trip and we will have 2 character meals where my DH is there to help with pictures and such.

There are a number of things you left out of your OP.
Are you staying at the GF?
What time is your ADR?
Why do you feel you won't be able to do anything girly anymore? When my wife and I go (each 37 years old w/o children) she ALWAYS seems to find a way to be girly.

You can have a "special meal" at other places and not put such a rush on you and a 5 year old.

You mentioned that you have two character meals already booked. If one of them is 'Ohana, I would recommend switching with your 1900 Park Fare day. They bring the food to the table here and serve it family style so there is no getting up from the table. It has Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto, I think. Then you will have help at 1900 Park Fare and can sit and relax when you don't have help since you don't have to get up to go to the buffet. If you don't have 'Ohana booked, I would recommend it as a less stressful substitute for a person dining with a young child alone.

The do give you leis so it is somewhat girly. 1900 Park Fare has Pooh, Alice, Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins. It's not really that girly in my (girl) opinion. If you want girly, I'd go for Akurshus or CRT. But I think if 1900 Park Fare is your choice, it is doable. I would just ask your server how they rotate and keep watch.

I did caracter meals last October with my 4 yo triplets. We took an average of 1 hour to see every caracters and eat. it was alot of fun. We ate at Ohana at 7:30 and were at MK at the beginning of the show.

I agree with 'Ohana as maybe a better option. Since it's family style it will be a lot easier. Also the food is really wonderful. Fresh fruits, breads, eggs and more. The juice is also very delicious. They also have a parade around the restaurant with the characters. Just a lot of fun.

1900 Park Fare is very good but it might be a little harder to do. I wouldn't call is super girly since breakfast has Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins and Alice. It is a very pretty setting, though. And breakfast was very tasty, but since it is a buffet it might be a little harder to do with a 5 year old.
