This coming March my family and I are heading to WDW. And ever since our trip this past mMarch my boyfriend has been wanting to have a character meal with Chip and Dale. This will be his first time ever to WDW, this past march was his first time to DL. I know that we might seem a bit old for character dining, as I am 18 and he'll have just had his 20th birthday when we go, but we're both looking so forward to it. The last time I had a character breakfast was when I was nine in DL. If anyone could tell me places that have great character meals, that would be much appreciated, especially ones that have Chip and Dale. :earboy2:

Thanks a Bunch!!!

Chip and Dale are at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. I think they also appear at the Cape May Cafe breakfast at the BC and at the Garden Grille in Epcot.

We had character breakfast twice at O'hana at the Polynesian. Both times Chip and Dale were there. We love that breakfast - the food is delicious! :D

Chip and Dale are my favorites as well!...and my nemeses! :D We had the most fun with them at the Garden Grill, but wherever you see them, be sure to interact with them. It gets things off to an entertaining start if you mockingly accuse them of some mischief. They will likely deny it, of course. If they sense your permission and willingness, they can engage in some pretty hysterical schtick with you.
For example, at Garden Grill, we were giving each other a hard time when Dale invited me to smell a flower painted on the wall. I did so and he pretended to push my head into the wall. Shadow boxing, on tiptoes, ensued to gales of laughter all around.
Have fun! :rotfl: :rolleyes1

Chip and Dale are all of the places.

for Mickey Mouse to steal food from you -would not be nice.

but hey that is what Chip and Dale do!!!

they are at the FW campfire too!

They have often "joined us" picked through our purchases, and one time had my sister get up on the chair and pushed her around the lobby.

Plus, its a good meal, and in MK - just make sure to have PS as there can be long waits for this one even if the park is not that crowded.

Enjoy! YOu are never to old for character dining!

The Garden Grill Ice Cream Social has Chip and Dale. For about $7.00 a person you get a HUGE ice cream sundae. Not a full meal, but it's a lot of fun and cheaper.

I too was going to suggest Garden Grille - breakfast here was our first ever meal in WDW.

Although not exactly a character meal (although you can roast mallows and have a couple of beers) is the Campfire program at Fort Wilderness which features Chip n Dale - check out the movie schedules on the Camping forum on this site.

Isn't the Garden Grill due to be closed in March for Soarin'? I think I remember Chip and Dale at LTT dinner. And although I haven't been yet, are they at Cape May for breakfast?

Seemed like they were everywhere we ate! Well, almost...

Cape May Cafe is a great character breakfast with Goofy, Chip and Dale. My partner and I have gone a few times (we're 43 and 42!) and we enjoy it - good food, great character interaction, quieter than Chef Mickey's.

I agree with Liberty Tree Tavern! We were just there last Thursday, and the 'munks were all over the place, getting into trouble, playing with the kids, putting on a show... They are quite the team!

They were at Hollywood and Vine's breakfast too! They scooped a huge cupful of nuts from the Sundae buffet and gave them to our table. lol.
Aloha :flower:

I've seen them at the Liberty Tree Tavern dinner and the Garden Grille dinner.

Chip and Dale absolutely are awesome in character meals!! I've been fortunate enough to have hilarious and extremely interactive visits from both of them AND Pluto as well as the other great characters :)

And as BertChimneySweep said: "be sure to interact with them. It gets things off to an entertaining start if you mockingly accuse them of some mischief. They will likely deny it, of course. If they sense your permission and willingness, they can engage in some pretty hysterical schtick with you"

That is sooo what I've found too. Chip and Dale have sat down with us and actually colored with crayons at the Garden Grille! At one time when I had gotten up to use the restroom, I came back and saw that Dale had taken my seat!! And he didnt seem very willing to give it back...mainly cause dinner had been served! I then proceeded to jokingly "character mime" my surprise at him and he totally played along and we had a conversation totally from gestures!! Then he took a sip of my drink, LOL!

Also, I've found that if you immediately tell them you know which one of them is which, they'll be very happy. For reference, Chip has the black nose and Dale sometimes has a red nose and other times a brown nose. Actually telling them you know that often elicits some fun interaction :)

Giving them random things on the table as gifts is amusing as well, sometimes they gesture at you funny and sometimes they keep it. I think i've given many a sugar packet gift to both of them! (once one of them did the "you're crazy"/"point to the head gesture" and i cracked up). They also sometimes like when you draw a picture for them :)

I Love Chip and Dale and am really looking forward to meeting them :)
