When we finally make it to WDW in June (knock on wood) my daughter will be almost 16 and my son will be 12. Do you think it would be wise to plan any character meals with kids in this age group? If so, which one would be best?

Definitely! I think they will spark a few smiles in any age group. Choose one that is not so rowdy such as 'Ohanas breakfast or LibertyTree Tavern for dinner. :D

My 13 would stop talking to me if he didn't get to go to Donald's breakfastosaurus. (hum, now thats an idea. Sometimes I would like for him to stop talking LOL)
IMHO get their opinion. Let them look at the menus, read the guide books and post on the teen boards here. As for best ... that depends on your family. Donalds breakfastosaurs is more boyish and playful. Even the adult "girls" in our group like CRT. Ds loved the food so much that he didn't mind having to sit on the fairy Godmothers lap.

Oh definitely. When we went to the Storybook Princess breakfast in August, there were many teenaged girls there with their tiaras on, having a great time! Go for it!!
