Please review your experiences with character meals. Especially 1900 Park Fare, Princess Story Book and Ohana (breakfast). But others are welcomed.

We have ADR's for our up coming trip and I want to make sure I have make the right choices

TIA

We have been to Ohana twice, Feb. 06 & Feb. 07. The food is pretty good. Served family style. We are big fans of Lilo & Stitch so we enjoy seeing them. Last year we had really good interaction, this year it was very crowded and the interaction was disappointing. We were there during President's week though so I'm not sure if that made a difference:confused3 My three year old loved the parade around the restaurant. We will be going there again in May, my husband says we HAVE to! He LOVES the breakfast sausage links and Stitch!

THe Princess Storybook breakfast is good. My daughter loved the attention the Princess gave her. We also like Chef Mickey's.:thumbsup2

We had a very magical experience at Chef Mickeys. The service was ok, and the food was ok, but the character interaction was so funny. DD had a stuffed Minnie doll she had won in the arcade. Chip or Dale one took it and gave Minnie a kiss. One of us said something about "ohhhh, Mickey is going to be jealous". He kept shaking his head and pointing at his finger. We couldn't figure out what he was saying. Then he picked up my hand and pointed at my wedding ring and shook his head and pointed at Minnie. He was saying Minnie isn't married!!!!! We were all about to ROFL!!! Then Minnie came by, and we told her. And somehow suddenly Minnie and Mickey and Chip and Dale were all at our table, play-acting about it, Mickey was acting jealous and mad at Chip/Dale. I couldn't get my camera back out quick enough to get a shot of Minnie and Mickey giving my DD a hug. (I think it's kinda rare to get a photo with both Mickey and Minnie together).

We love CP, Cape May and Donalds. Food and characters are the best we have ever had.

We did the Princess Breakfast with our nieces and they loved it. The food was very good. I would go again with the girls but I would not go with just the 2 of us. The character interaction was awesome.

We did CM for dinner this past Oct and we did not like the food at all, the worst I ever had. The character interaction was awesome.

1900 Park Faire was the worst overall for us. The characters never came to see us (just 2 adults) and the food was terrible. We went for a late breakfast and maybe that was my fault but the dried out old food was not edible.

I will be going to Ohana, Akershus and Donald's Breakfastsaurus in May. I'll post some reviews after we go. If I remember, I'll include pictures.

We went to Crystal Palace (6 adults, nephew 2, nephew 5 & DD11) it was a truly magical experience. Great character interaction & the breakfast food was great. My Dad (I want give his age,but he is an AARP member) said it was the best part of our entire vacation. The kids loved meeting Pooh & gang. They got their first autographs & we got some wonderful pictures.

My DD says this is a must do of all future trips. I have ADRs for 8:05am in August.

We did Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace (dinner), Akershus (dinner), and Hollywood and Vine (breakfast)...The best by far was the Akershus princess dinner. Sleeping Beauty was set up as we walked and talked to the kids for a good 5 minutes before they took a picture. She was absolutely delightful. The food was great and we were visited by Snow White, Ariel, Belle, and Alice. My kids loved it. I highly recommend it. Our least favorite was the Hollywood and Vine breakfast. It was loud, the food wasn't that great, the characters were easily distracted.

We love Ohana's for breakfast!

This last trip we did PSB & lunch at CRT. Except for the check-in, picture taking , and long wait downstairs CRT was very good. Food, service & lots of Character interaction. For little girls, I'd say it's a must do at least once.

PSB is one we would do over again & again. Good food, good service, relaxing spacious restaurant with lots of characters.

We did a lot of character meals when we went in dec. We did CRT for breakfast food was very good character interaction was good,PSB for breakfast food ok interaction good,1900 for dinner food good interaction good and only place we saw prince charming. All those places are good if you have a princess like we do and it is a great way to meet the princess. We also did CM for breakfast and dinner the breakfast was the better of the two.But of all of them we are only doing CRT and CM when we go back in Sept. But if your just looking for interaction go into Epcot World Showcase most of them are there every day in their different Nations. Hope this helps

We love Chef Mickeys for breakfast!!! its our favorite! Good food, great character interaction.

Crystal Palace was great. Our breakfast food was awesome! Pooh & the gang we a huge hit with my girls!

1900 Park Fare for dinner was great! the one on one with Cinderella was fantastic! DH loved the buffett! (Hes really bummed they are closed for renovations on our next trip!!!!)

We are going to try Ackerhaus this time. SUPER excited! My older princess is going to be in beyond delighted!

I was toying the Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney, but decided against it. Thats the one other one I have an interest in, besides CRT!

We love O'Hana for its character breakfast - especially because it is served family style! The earlier you go, the more character interaction you will have. Stitch was at our table with Lilo for at least 5 minutes and he was being so bad! My boys loved it!

We had a great breakfast at 1900 Park Fair as well. Again, being there early is the key for character interaction. Alice and the Mad Hatter spent quite a bit of time with our boys as well! (The omelet station there by the way is terrific!)

Chef Mickey's is a family favorite for breakfast - it's not a Disney trip for us if we don't go. The character interaction is good (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip N Dale) and the food is as well.

We are also trying the Princess breakfast for the first time in Aug. - my 6 yo DDprincess: is excited but my 13 yo DS is NOT!

We did Ohana and Storybook in December. They both were really great!
DD loves stitch and Aurora so that is how we ended up at both.

It was really great to see the princess and knock them off the photo/ autograph list with out a wait. The food was very good at storybook, you started with the cold buffet with fruit and pastries. Then a hot plate is set at your table with the meat, potatoes, etc on it.

Lilo and Stitch had better character interaction for us. But I prefered the food at Storybook. The food at stitch was good, I had the eggs, mickey waffels and bisquits. But as a vegetarian there were more choices with the cold buffet at Norway. Dd still laughs about Stitch signing her autograph book. It was a preprinted disney one that we bought there with the character pictures on the bottam marching along or something like that. He scratched out the other characters, circled himself on the page and wrote #1. DD just cracked up. They do the character parade around a couple of time with the instraments. She joined in twice. All the characters came around several times. It was great!

Can anyone help me on this?

What time is good for breakfast? We were wanting to do the Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney also. I was afraid to get too early because of wanting to be in the park.

Do you think if we did 11 for breakfast would that be too late or would they be getting ready for the lunch crowd at that time and not replinsh the breakfast foods?

Last year we made our ADR for Chef Mickey's at 11:15, so it was more of a brunch than breakfast for us. That day was EMH at MK, so we got there early, rode some of the major attractions, then hopped the monorail to CR. Even though we had a late seating, the food was always plentiful. Towards the end they did clean up one side of the buffet table, but by then the crowd in the restaurant was small so it really didn't matter. I have to say we saw a LOT more of the characters with the late seating than with earlier seatings in the past. Because it wasn't crowded they had more time to spend at the tables and they just kept coming around - and they still even did the napkin waving!:)

Do you know what time the lunch crowd starts coming in? If our breakfast/brunch ressies are at 11:15 would it be close to that?:goodvibes
