Can anyone tell me a bit more about character meals? I was wondering what restaurants (dinner or breakfast) and what characters. I saw pictures of Spiderman, Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two.... is there a Shrek one? Anyone got a link to check out? Thanks!

Cofisco's Grill in IOA has a breakfast with Ct in the Hat, spiderman, thing 1 and thing 2. The day we ate there Spiderman actually wasn't there because there was a special spiderman breakfast for the opening day of Spiderman II movie. The food was really good and the character interaction was great. The buffet is a lot smaller than any of the WDW we've had, but the price is a lot less too.
Dec 2005 we had dinner at Island's Dining room (RPR) with Shrek and scooby doo. The interaction was good and the food is great. We were staying at the RPR and ended up eating in the Island's diningroom several times that week.

Q#1 Do they offer "early entry" for breakfast ala WDW?

Q#2 How often each week is the charactar dinner offered @ Islands in the summer?

If I remember correctly the earliest time for breakfast was right around opening time

The Islands diningroom has something going on every night I believe, characters I think are 2 nights, face painting balloon animals another night, magician another night.
I don't remember the exact schedule.

Here's what is printed about the Character breakfast:

Don’t Miss the Character Breakfast at Islands Of Adventure!

Breakfast is not just the most important meal of the day…now it’s the most fun!

Bring the whole family and enjoy breakfast with Spider-Man™ and The Cat in the Hat™ at Islands of Adventure’s Confisco Grille®, each Thursday through Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Call 407-224-4012 for reservations.

I knew this was the place to get the best info. Thanks to all. A couple more questions. Is the RPR right there as you enter Universal? I'm assuming ADR are required. What is the "Witch Doctor" entertainment like on Wednesday nights? Thanks!

We never made it on the Witch Dr nights

If you are coming off of !4 following the signs for Universal, RPR is on right and IOA is on your left. With a park view room, you have a perfect view of IOA. There is a walking path from RPR that comes out in CW, right next to Margarittaville. It winds along the waterway and under the road.

We were there the first week of Dec 05, and didn't need reservations. In fact I think we even made our Tchoup Chop reservations the AM of the day we ate there.

LOL.... She's my miricle baby (not that she's a baby anymore she's 16). She's battling cancer right now, we thought we were going to lose her. She did lose a rear leg, but 3 weeks post op and she's running around like nothings happened. We're just hoping they got all the cancer

If staying at resort do you need to make reservations for dining,[probably dinner ] we are staying at RPR in July, also how far in advance would you need to make them

I was not to thrilled with the b fast. Nothing comapired to DISNEY (sorry) however the ch interaction was GREAT. My kids were scared and they warmed right up. We will be going again!
