My husband came home from work two days ago and said that he got a flight to orlando for $400 total for our family of 4 and that we are going to Disney World. We then invited our friends and they invited their parents and then we invited our parents who invited my sister. So anyways we now have a party of 14 headed to Disney in October. I was hoping to get the Disney Jr Breakfast, lunch or dinner for all of us. Of course being so close all the character meals are booked. Anyone have any suggestions on how to pull this off?

The last few times we went to Disney I woke up early and booked all the reservations the first day it was possible. So this is stressing me out being last minute!

Keep trying everyday - multiple times a day. If you want one table then Tusker House and Ohana are likely your only choices. I can't think of any other character meals that can do a party that large at one table. Trying calling the restaurants directly. Be flexible on times. Its going to be easier to get large parties in off peak hours. Also be willing to split up. Try 3 different tables with the understanding you guys may not be near each other. You've got plenty of time between now and October. Things will also open up the closer you get to your reservation. Have faith~
Let me know if you need other restaurants (non character) suggestions.

Our party of 8 grew to 12 just over two months out, so I've just been through this again! I would recommend Ohana, Garden Grill, and Cape May for availability after the 180 day mark. We have also booked multiple reservations at buffets (H&V, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace) for the same time and requested tables near each other. Certainly not guaranteed, but we were successful when checking in 20 min early and willing to wait. If you really want one of the hard to get reservations, the res finder from Touringplans works great.

My last advice, book whatever is availability but don't waste too much energy on looking for cancellations the next couple months. Unless park hours are extended or a new restaurant opens, I had much better luck finding availability in the weeks and even days leading up to the trip than the months before. Most people who booked 180 days out won't start thinking about changing anything until they begin scheduling FP.

We are a group of 15 going in early Dec. I'd love to have any lunch and dinner ideas you can share.
