I was just wondering how many character meals there were at DLRP and what they are like, which characters are there, etc. If someone has any info. on them that would be great. Also which guide book do you recomend. Pictures are great too, would love to see some of the character meals. Thanks.:goodvibes

When we were there in February We did the character breakfast which was in Cafe Mickey and had lunch in the Luckey Nugget Saloon.
The breakfast was brilliant and well worth the money. The characters took loads of time at each table for photos and everything. We saw Mickey, Eeyore, Pluto, King John and Mr Smee that I can remember. I think Pooh may have been there too. We went a bit early and the kids were able to have their breakfast eaten before the characters came in. Even when we were leaving the characters were walking round.
We just walked in around 12pm for lunch at the Lucky Nugget and saw there were characters walking round then. My camera had eaten ALL the batteries I had at the time so I only got pic there. The characters made their way around all the tables taking as much time as you wanted them too. We saw Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Pluto, Mickey, 2 country bears I don't know the names of and anoher couple I can't remember. Sorry! I thought it was great and the food was good too although DH had a hissy fit because the fatjitas were nearly gone. (Couldn't possibly wait for another tray or anything!).
Here are a few of pics from Cafe Mickey

Hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.

Character meals at DLRP are

lunch with Princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon

character buffet lunch at The Lucky Nugget in Frontierland (also dinner in high season)

character tea party at Plaza Gardens

character buffet dinner at Inventions in the Disneyland Hotel

character breakfast, lunch or dinner at Cafe Mickey in the Village

character Sunday Brunch buffet at The Steakhouse in the Village

I've done The Lucky Nugget, Cafe Mickey, Inventions and Sunday Brunch and they've all been fabulous :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

You're never guaranteed any specific characters apart from knowing there will be Princesses at Auberge although Mickey does seem to always be at Cafe Mickey. ;)

The best guide book for DLRP is the Brits Guide here. (I'm assuming from your tag that you're in America, my apologies if I'm wrong.)

Hi There, Thank you all so very much for the awesome replies. It looks so very cool there. How many parks exactly do they have?? I thought they just had the one park?? But I think there are more. Also do they have like a Toontown area?? Are there lots of characters?? Do they have any area kind of like Downtown Disney?? Just curious, I am pretty excited.:goodvibes

There's two parks ~ Disneyland Park which opened in 1992 and is actually the biggest Magic Kingdom although it may not seem it as it hasn't as many attractions as the others. The other park, Walt Disney Studios opened 10 years later in 2002. It only takes 5 minutes to walk between the two parks and the same to walk to Disney Village which is DLRP's version of Downtown Disney although it is much smaller.

There isn't a Toontown in the Disneyland park but there is a Toon Studio in the Studios. There's character meet n greets in both parks.

This is a great site for info DLRP Magic or anything else you want to know, just ask away. :goodvibes
