how much do you think a two year old would get out of a character meal?

we are really trying to pinch pennies to squeeze in a trip next February - it will be 4 adults and 1 two year old.

I was planning on the Garden Grill for one meal - we really enjoyed it the last time I was there but I don't know if the baby is going to get alot out of it if I plan too many others.

any thoughts?

Last year we did a character dinner and breakfast with our
2yo DD and she LOVED them!! At the time she was not very outgoing with strangers but she took to the characters like a duck to water. She kept giving Eeyore hugs to cheer him up and followed Goofy around for a long time. It was the first time I actually got to to finish eating in a restaurant with her.

To save money maybe you could go to a few late character breakfasts, have a snack instead of a complete lunch and then have counter service for dinner.

We did Garden Grill when our ds was 2. It was a huge hit with him! I liked it because they served the food at your table and we weren't trying to negociate a buffet with a 2 yo in tow! I felt like we got lots of character interaction. Chip sat down and colored with him when we were first seated. Mickey, Pluto and Dale came by at least twice during our meal. HTH-Dana:D

We ate at CP 3 times last year because my DD (2 at the time) loved it soooo much. While we were waiting outside she could see Eeyore thru the window and I thought she would pop.
If you are saving money try eating a late breakfast was suggested. Keep in mind that your daughter will eat free at them since she is under 3.
We also ate at H&V and Chloe loved it as well. I think my DH loved this one too since he is "THE" Goofy fan.

Here's what I am thinking of doing.....

There are two couple two ladies with normal appetites and two DH's with hollow legs, and one little boy who will be a month shy of his second birthday......that said....

(and we are driving down from CT -about 20hrs or so in the car)

Arrival day -

Eat lunch at the hotel ASMov, check in, etc. then head to Epcot and have dinner at the Garden Grill.

Day 2 - Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at Crystal Palace, dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Day 3 - Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at the Flametree BBQ at the AK, then head to Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Day 4- Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at the Electric Umbrella, and dinner at the Rose & Crown

Day 5- Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at a counter place in MGM, and dinner at Hollywood & Vine

That ends up being 4 character meals - I figured the buffets/allyoucaneats would be good for the guys.
