character meal

We are visiting Universal for the first time in December, we will be there from late evening on 6th Dec until the morning of 10th Dec, my two children would really like to have a character meal, we are staying at PBH however i think the
only options open to us on the days we are there is RPR on the Sunday morning for breakfast or Monday evening for dinner, which would you recommend or would we get to see the same characters whichever we choose?

they want to see the despicable me characters and spongebob particularly
