I know that this might be a strange question, but I figure while at WDW do what others do.

Are there any particular Character meals either breakfast or dinner that you would recommend.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am staying at CBR.

DH and just had the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe and loved it!! We thought it was the most "grown-up" character meal we have been to....we saw several childless couples and a few people alone....so, if you're going alone this may be a place to consider....the characters were really fun....there was one single guy sitting near us and he was reading the newspaper and Chip sat down with him and pointed to the sports section trying to let the guy know he was a big football fan....it was really cute....the food is excellent as well.....really fresh and plentiful....good luck with your decision and have fun :)

DH and I did the Cape May character breakfast while on our honeymoon several years back. It was nice. The characters waived to us or shook our hands, then went on their way. I also like 1900 Park Fare Character dinner when it was still a villains meal. It was fun, even for adults.

I don't have a specific place to recommend, but I would strongly advise attending one of the character meals at the resorts as opposed to one in the parks.

As an adults only, I have done the now defunct Artist Point CB at Wilderness Lodge (which was GREAT and which I miss) and the CB at Ohana at the Poly (solo-- and that was nice as well).

We tried the Crystal Palace once for a character dinner-- now referred to as "Crystal Palace, Dinner of Insanity."

Hope this helps!

Here are the PS that I made for my upcomming trip.

Feb 28 9:30 am at Chef Mickey's (breakfast)

March 2nd 5:35 pm at Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)

March 4th 9:30 am at Donald's Breakfastosaurus (breakfast)

Jason, you made 3 great choices, Chef Mickeys for Breakfast is better than the dinner in my opinion and your other 2 choices are great. We will be there the same time, we meaning me and my 2 sons, bet you are getting as excited as we are to go back!(assuming you have been before of course) Have a great trip!!!!

Last time I was there was 4 years ago, so to so I am a little over excited is an understatement.

I am glad that I made good choices. I have no idea but the dinning lady I talked to yesterday, was really helpful and told me what I should see and do on what days since it has been so long. She ended up talking with me for 30 minutes because she had so much information that she thought would be of interest. If the rest of the CM's are as nice as she is, this will be a great trip.

If I was there as a single guy I'd eat three meals a day with the princesses!!!

jason, i think your choices are excellent and you will most certainly enjoy your trip... not sure if you are interested, but have you checked out the adults/solos board here at the dis? i know sometimes posters meet up for meals together, which could be fun :wave2:

gigi1313,

I post there all the time. It helps to know I am not the only person going to WDW solo, not that it was a big deal in the first place.

You would be surprised at how many people tell me that they wish they could go on solo vacations, but could never do it. I love being able to choose what to do, eat, see ect.

CP for breakfast. We eat there very trip and each time we think the characters go out of their way to spend time at the tables with just adults as they do the kids. Plus, you can do the parade with them. Lots of adults do the parade without kids. It is lots of fun and the food is excellent.
