Character Meal ?'s

Hello,

I am new to the board and haven't been to WDW for more than 20 years so please forgive my lack of knowledge but I am a little confused.

Today my DH called to place our ADR's for October.

One of our ADR's was for a Character breakfast at Crystal Palace. The CM that he spoke with said "you will be dining with Goofy and Pooh."

I know the characters are never guaranteed but aren't some of the other Pooh characters supposed to be at CP? and why Goofy at CP?

Since he just said Goofy and Pooh should I assume that none of the others will be there?
We were mainly going to see Eeyore (my DS's favorite) so if he's not going to be there, maybe we need to change our day or time.

Another ADR was for Garden Grill and he said "you will be dining with Chip and Pluto and Mickey will be your host."

Is there a difference between dining with the characters and one of them being the host? Will we get less time with Mickey or the others because of that?

Hope someone can clear this up for me. After 2 months of research, I thought I knew enough to make a simple reservation but this one confused me even more.

sounds like a confused CM

no Goofy at Crystal Palace - only Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore

at Garden Grill, Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey all circulated the same and came to our table multiple times (so often we finally started just waving them away :lol

when we've called for ADRs the CMs have never mentioned who the characters are at meals

Great, Thanks!!! Glad to know that there's still a good chance for Eeyore. Thought that seemed a little strange that Goofy would be at CP. Not that we would mind if Goofy joined us for breakfast, just didn't expect him to be hanging out with Pooh.

Anyone else ever have a CM tell them which characters would be "dining with them?" My husband could have gotten confused. He said he had a hard time understanding the CM on the phone. Not sure how he would have gotten the right names (except Goofy) connected with the right restaurant though since I didn't even tell him which characters were supposed to be there.

Another ADR question:

We asked for a lunch meal at Garden Grill for one of two possible days for any time available. One day was booked and the only time available on the other was at 2:55pm. We don't mind having a late lunch but I am concerned about whether we will still get plenty of character time that late. Will they stay until everyone finishes lunch or do they leave around 3pm since the lunch time is over then?
What about the food? Will they be running out of some things that late so they can start preparing the dinner menu for the 4:30 dinner?

Ok, I guess that was 2 more questions. Sorry. I'm new at this.

I do not know about the Garden Grill but I do know that Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet are always at Crystal Palace. I have made adrs for lots of characters meals but never had a CM tell me which characters will be there.

The characters will be there until the end at Garden Grill...no need to worry about that.

Eeyore is DEFINITELY there. He is my favorite character next to Pooh (picture below). We have gone to Crystal Palace for breakfast for our last ten visits and Eeyore was always there.

I'd cancel Garden Grill. I think the food is much better at Crystal Palace. And I know Eeyore is NOT at GARDEN GRILL!

Still not sure which one to do since we'd also like to dine with Mickey & the gang. I think I will hold on to both of them for a little while so maybe we can find a way to do both.

Gosh, aren't you lucky. I'm not sure if it would be a good thing if Mickey kisses me though. DH might get jealous. He knows that Mickey is his biggest competition.

We just got back and Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger and Piglet were at CP.

We also did Garden Grill and loved it. The characters are great, Farmer Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. We liked the food a lot too.
