I've looked all over and I can't seem to find the answers to a couple of questions.

First of all, what are the hours of operation for character meals? I'm going to be doing PS later this week and I can't find when the meals are scheduled. Also, are they booked in 10min increments? For instance, if I can't get 8am should I ask for 8:10?

Second, I can find the type of food, ie buffet, family style, menu....but I'm not exactly sure what that means. If it is buffet style, is it an all-you-can eat or just a one time through the line?

Third-- I have a 2 year old who will be eating with us and I understand that he will eat free. My question then becomes do I include him in the PS? If I don't, will he have to sit on our laps?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

To my knowledge - all of the character meals are all you can eat. The buffets, you can go up to as many times as you want. Family style is brought to your table & you can just request more of whatever you need more of.

As for the times - I think they all tend to vary. Places like Chef Mickey's start breakfast PS's at 7 am, others inside the parks generally don't start PS's until at least 8 am. It also depends on the time of year you are going & what the park hours are that time of year. You should be able to call ahead of time & inquire about seating times for a specific restaurant.

I believe (I don't know first hand) when you make a PS, you let them know about your 2 yr old & they will make a note of it. HTH! :)

As much as I'm aware, all the character meals are all you can eat. The buffets are like regular buffets at home, go as many times as you want. The ones like Liberty Tree Tavern and Garden Grill that are family-style are also all you can eat, they just bring the food to you; if you want more of something, you just have to ask. I think the pre-plated ones are the same way, but I'm not aware of any that are pre plated. If you order from a menu, I would say that's not all you care to eat.

When I made my PS for LTT dinner, the CM asked me how many, I said 4,then she asked ages. If they don't ask, I would tell them the total number then say one is a 2 yo. I was also asked if my DS (age 1) would need a highchair.

I'm not sure what the increments are, but if they don't have the time you want, ask what the closest available time is to what you were looking for. 5 or 10 minutes shouldn't make that big of a deal.

The hours vary from restaurant to restaurant. On allearsnet.com if you look under dining and menus, a lot of the places give the hours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but some do not.

Hope this helps!

crt is preplated but you can get as much as you want Some times are in 5 min incraments but tell tham what time you want and they will tell you whats available. I would include your child so you don't get a little table and so they have a highchair or booster ready for you.
