Character meal - price??

Is it a set price (like a buffet) or can you order off the menu?
Has anyone done a character meal and ordered off the menu - it seems that this approach would cost less.
Any thoughts?

This site has tons of specific info about all the restaurants & meals, incl the Character Meals (prices, food selections, what characters you'd expect to see, etc).

I just buzzed thru the restaurant links & I did see that one of them offers sit-down "order off the menu" options (as opposed to buffet). I can't remember now which restaurant it was, but the prices were more like $14.95+ for a plated brunch meal, as opposed to $27 for the buffet. So yes, it does look cheaper. I haven't tried any of them yet, but thought I'd share the link so you could see all the specifics.
