Has anyone ever gotten in as a walk in? I know we are late but saw it was going to be a show and thought it would be fun. I just called and they said we could try a walk in.

Unlike reservations for dining in the parks, which have a fee for same day cancellations or no shows, there is no such fee for dining at Aulani. The reservations may be filled, but it costs guests nothing to cancel at the last minute or not show up (edit) so they tend to hold them "just in case" until their plans firm up.

We got into a Menehune Mischief dinner show by periodically checking with dining, and they ultimately were able to accommodate us when we called in the early afternoon on the day of.

I am sure you will have no problem. Months ago I booked a few different nights but now that we are closer and I have made kind of an itinerary I cancelled the other reservations. Just keep checking.

I booked the wrong day last year and got a late time when I realized my mistake. I checked for better times daily for the two months leading up to the trip but nothing opened up. I checked at the restaurant check in desk the evening before and asked if we could come earlier the next day. They were able to accommodate us no problem.

And we were a party of 6 and it was Memorial Day week. So I think your chances are very good.

Yes keep checking. I also booked several reservations and then cancelled once I figured out our plans, a couple weeks before our trip.
