I have a 2 in half yr old girl I want to know which character meal is the best one with the best food. breakfast / lunch / dinner

If Im going to eat the food for 27 bucks which one has the best food and which is the best for a 2 and a half.

She likes the pixar characters but I know they have nothing for now.

Also how do you guys and gals rate the rainforest cafe

Our #1 favorite for breakfast is pch grill at paradise pier!! They have great food and the characters really interact with the kids! At that age, my daughter loved it!! Our #2 is goofy's kitchen for lunch and dinner. They have good food and a good variety. The characters come around to the tables and they do some dance/show every 30 (?) minutes or so that the kids can participate in. I haven't been to ariel's grotto yet, and plaza inn is just okay- food isn't that great.

I was down at disneyland for 1 week and I would suggest the BEST character meal was Lilo and Stich a PPH!!!! THis was the best great interaction and lots of time with my child 4 years old NOT crowed. I cant stress it again if you have any character meals you MUST do this one it is the BEST #1!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

You and the whole family will have a great time you can oder off the menue or have the buffet your choice!!!

I'm sure you're going to get lots of different responses on this. I have heard each one mentioned as the best one by at least one person over the past year. People have different expectations of a character meal, of the menu options and quality of food, or the importance of certain characters. :)

From my research on this for our first trip (last year) and our next one (Friday), here is what I understand about each:

Goofy's Kitchen (DLH): You'll see maybe 6 characters. Always Goofy and Pluto (Pluto is out front and a photographer will take a photo of your child with him); the other characters vary. There is a little 'show' portion of the meal where the characters come out together and get the kids up and dancing, so a little more energy than other meals. Wide variety of buffet food. My boys loved this one a lot; they were ages 6 and 2 at the time.

Lilo & Stitch (PPH): 5 characters: Lilo, Stitch, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Pluto. Also a little 'show' portion of the meal where Stitch and children play a Musical Chairs type game called Island Hopping. More low-key than Goofy's Kitchen, but still gets the kids up and playing. Buffet breakfast items, both standard fare and Island/Japanese fare. My boys loved this one as well, and it felt less rushed than Goofy's, the characters seemed to spend more time at each table.

Storytellers' Cafe (GCH): Expect to see about 4 animal characters here (Kenai & Koda from Brother Bear, Chip and/or Dale, and others have been seen. More low key atmosphere. I think food can be from the buffet or ordered off the menu. I've heard the Storyteller's food is very good! We will also be trying this one out for the first time.

Ariel's (DCA): the princess meal! Maybe 5 princesses to meet? You are taken to meet Ariel as you check in (and a photographer will take a picture of your child with Ariel), and then other princesses will visit your table as you dine. I think you order off a menu for this one. I have heard mixed reviews of the food at this one.

Minnie & Friends (DL): Six or seven characters, the characters vary but frequently include the Winnie the Pooh characters. I've read the breakfast food is the standard eggs, bacon, waffles type stuff. We are planning to do this one on our next trip, as my DS3 loves Pooh!

If you're going for the characters - Goofy's Kitchen or Minnie & Friends.

If you're going for the food - Storyteller's at GCH (yummy, but there wasn't that much going on with the characters).

Haven't been to the Lilo & Stitch breakfast. It sounds fun, too!

We did Ariel's Grotto last February. For me, it was less about the food, and more about my daughter getting autographs in her autograph book and pictures with each princess. The food was okay....nothing spectacular. The price was worth seeing my daughter squeal with delight at each new princess she got to meet. (And it was wonderful not having to stand in long lines in the parks hoping to get a quick moment with a princess.)

Rainforest Cafe is wonderful! The food is very, very good and the atmosphere is awesome. Lots of good photo ops.
