Hello, I am planning dining for a group of 12 people, one of which is a 5 year old little girl first timer. She loves the princesses and we are trying to find a character meal for her. We will most likely not be going to Epcot so the princess meal there is out. I read about the Cinderella meal at the Grand Floridian but was wondering what the evil stepmother and stepsisters looked like. Are they real people faces with makeup, or, do they have mask/heads like in the movie? I worry that if they have heads on that they will be too scary for the 2 and 3 year old that will be there too!

If anyone knows of any other meal with princesses that doesn't take 2ts meals please post.

1900 Park Fare dinner is a lot of fun! The characters are Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella. They are a riot! Last time I ate there, I had a conversation about Prince Caspian with Anastasia. And during a dance time, Anastasia and Drizella "attempted" to dance.

And the Tremaines are just like Cinderella, so no worries there.

Park Faire Dinner was great, But the best princess meal is the breakfast in Norway.

The dinner in Norway is a very good choice for princess fans but 1900 Park Fare is a great dinner for Cinderella fans. Cinderella (very sweet), Prince Charming (charming!), Lady Tremaine (stepmother), and stepsisters (so funny), make the rounds stopping at your table for pictures and autographs. They are CM's with makeup and hair like the characters they portray and do not have "heads" as part of the costume (if that makes sense). Lady Tremaine scared my daughter a bit because she was "in character" as the stepmother - but I bet if she sensed any REAL fear, she'd lighten-up or move along to another group. She's not mean really she just does these comically dirty looks. Get a picture with her, the poses are great. Also, remember adults can get in a picture or two, too.
The food here is okay for a buffet and there are choices for kids like chicken nuggets. The characters are very entertaining and the GF is a lovely place to meet Cinderella. :lovestruc BTW lot's of little girls come in princess costume.
I hope you have a nice trip.

We lovesd Cinderella's dinner at 1900 Park Fair. We also were a party of 12 and had 2 girls, one age2 and one age 3, All the rest of us were parents and grandparents. Both of our girls had their Cinderella dresses on for dinner and they received very much attention from all of the characters! My daughter danced the waltz with both the Prince and Cinderella. It was smiles all around as we all tried getting the perfect photos! The food was also very good for a buffet. It was a favorite for the girls and my daughter talks about it nearly 10 months later! :goodvibes

We are also doing the dinner at the Grand Floridan this coming April. We just happened to get lucky on our last visit because on the side of the castle was Lady Tremaine, and the two stepsisters. They were a hoot and my daughter loved it quietly, lol. We got some really nice pictures and made them into 8 x 10's. Nice memories. They are dressed in costumes and wigs with lots of makeup, lol.

I haven't been to 1900 for dinner, but I think it sounds like a lot of fun. Search for 1900 Park Fare on youtube and you should be able to find some videos of the characters.

You didn't say how far in advance you are planning this. You might want to consider going ahead and making an ADR for Akershus in Norway. Then as your plans firm up, you'll have the ADR if you end up deciding to do an Epcot day. As your trip gets closer and if you really aren't going to Epcot, just cancel that ADR. (It much easier to cancel one than try to get one at the last minute)

We went to 1900 Park Fair a month ago for dinner and it was the best meal we had this year. My daughter 7 had so much fun with the prince and step sisters.:rotfl2:

1900 Park Fare is one of my favorates too, because the interaction with the characters is so much better with 'live' CMs playing the role.

Price Charming had my DD4 swooning!

This September, I saw the coolest character interaction yet. Across the room, we heard a yell. It was Anastasia, and she screamed at the top of her lungs "Drizella!, Drizella! you have GOT! to see this!" She grabbed a ~10yo boy, and ran him to her 'sister', whispered something to her, then they both (in dripping-sweet voices) called out "Oh Cinderella!" and proceeded to (with the boy) chorus that same taunting chant that is in the film. (I forget the exact words, after seeing the DVD for about 1 million times, I should remember.)

The whole place was having a blast.
