I've read that character breakfasts honor the connections vouchers, but do character lunches and dinners? I'm want to know specifically regarding Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill, Tony's, and Liberty Tree Tavern. Do Sci-Fi Dine In and 50's Prime Time Cafe take the vouchers? I'm not sure they'd be worthwhile for us at the last 2 and welcome opinions. We are not big eaters, and DH and I would be splitting a meal. We also have 3 kids, one of which barely touches her food. We definitely plan to get a couple of vouchers for Beaches and Cream.

travelitis,
That's a very good question. You can not use the Q & C vouchers for the character meals. For the most part, the Q & C's are for counter service (B& C being an exception).
There is a voucher option for a character meal lunch (but not dinner). For this, you would have to step up to the Vacation Kingdom Lunch voucher. These vouchers cost 29.50 each for an adult. (The vouchers include tax and 15% tip. )
Since Character Meals are per person, you would be overpaying about 10 per adult for a character lunch meal over what you would pay without a voucher.
The Vacation Kingdom Lunch voucher lists the following character dining options: The Cystal Palace (which is closed for refurbishment) and The Garden Grill restaurant at the Land at EPCOT. The price for an adult for lunch is 16.95 (Plus tax and 15% tip=19.94). Tony's (adult= 16.99 plus tax and tip). Chef Mickey's is also listed on the lunch voucher, but the voucher can only be used during the hours lunch is served and I don't see where CM's has a lunch meal. (It would not be a good deal, anyway).

Now for the question of Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time--you can use the Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers for these. You can share a meal in this scenario. You can order 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 non-alcholic drink, and 1 dessert. In some cases, it might make sense to use the VKL voucher. I plan to use my VKLs for the Concourse Steak House at the Contemporary, Alfredos at EPCOT and possibly Le Cellier and I am planning to share with DH. (My goal is to at least break even. :) )
Good luck to you in your planning.

I read at www.mousesavers.com that you can use the breakfast voucher for character breakfasts. It's a good deal for the adults but not for the kids, but paying for part of the meal in vouchers is no problem.

By the way, the Garden Grill has had a price increase $22 for adt. (rounded to closest $) and $10 for kids for lunch and dinner. (Same price as Chef Mickeys)

For us my thought is use the breakfast vouchers for adults at Cindy's and/or the princess breakfast in Epcot (if they allow it). Then get 2 adults vouchers for Beaches and Cream and the boys will split one and dh and I will split one. Then we'll get 1 kitchen sink for all of us. Just because we could get another dessert doesn't mean we should. Otherwise the vouchers don't seem to offer us any value.

travelitis,
It sounds like you have a good handle on the vouchers. We are going to use Breakfast vouchers at Cindy's, too. Using the vouchers for adult character breakfasts seems to be a slam dunk good value.
Thanks for the price update on Garden Grill (I was looking at a menu on-line to get the price)--perhaps using the VKL vouchers for GG character Lunch would not be quite as bad as I thought with tax and tip added in 26.81--(getting pretty close to breaking even).
I'm thinking I spent a lot of time looking at menus on-line, but perhaps there are some other price increases that will make it easier to break even using the vouchers. :)

Travelitis DO NOT use adult feature lunch vouchers at Beaches and Cream. You only need the Quick and Casual ($22.00 for two versus $59.00 for two) Otherwise your right, we did the same thing with using two for four of us and only ordering one Kitchen Sink. Enjoy!

patsal,
Thanks for clarifying that. I am afraid I mispoke in my response there is only one price voucher for the Q & C --(I just think of as an adult price because you would not want to use the Q & C's to pay for a child's meal. )
You can not use the VKL for B& C as B& C is not a participating restaurant for the more expensive VKL vouchers.

-DC :)

Thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking of the $11 vouchers but must have called them the wrong thing.

Make you reservations 10 minutes before they stop serving breakfast or the last reservation they will take for breakfast.

1. You will still be having you meal durning the breakfast time; therefore, you can use your voucher.

2. Shortly after you arrive they will begin changing out the meal service to the lunch menu.

3. We have done this. Well, not with the voucher part, but having breakfast and lunch. DH loves breakfast, but I'd rather have lunch. It works for us.

Have a great trip!
