We want to do a character lunch on a day that we are not going to the parks.. So we want to try one at one of the hotels. I have a DS4, DD4, and DD1. Also there will be 3 adults..

Any one have any ideas? We want to do Downtown Disney that day and i thought a lunch at one of the hotels would be fun for the kids..

I am looking to go on A Wednesday in June.

Thanks for any info that you can give! :cool1:

Your only option for an afternoon meal with characters, outside of the parks would be Goofys at the DLH. It would actually be a late brunch seating. Somedays it closes earlier then others you would want to check with dinning to see what your options are.

What if we we wanted to do dinner? Are there any more choices?

Thanks!

Nope, not with characters- Goofys would be your only choice outside of the parks.

Here is a run down of all options:
OUt of the parks:
Goofys- DLH Brunch and dinner- buffet at both seatings.
Lilo and Stitch- PP hotel, breakfast only. Menu or buffet.
Chip & Dale at Storytellers- GC, breakfast only. Buffet or menu

In the parks:

Minnie and Friends- Plaza Inn, DL. Served buffet, breakfast only
Ariels princess celebration- DCA lunch and dinner, menu (inculdes 3 course meal)

We did the Lilo & Stitch breakfast last week and found it nice but again that was breakfast... I liked that you didn't have to pay $20+ for a buffet when you really weren't that hungry and wanted to see the characters.. We actually did 4 character meals and found this one to be a nice place and we also ate dinner there one night and the food was very good. No characters then but my dd got to build her own pizza and then take it to the chef to put it in the oven!!!

We did Goofy's in December and were soooo impressed with the character interaction. Both Mad Hatter and Aladdin actually sat down at our table for a while, Chip wrote an extra special note/picture on our paper table cover, and the songs with Goofy etc. were lots of fun.
Great food, too!
Highly recommend it. My dd11 and ds7 still talk about it. :sunny:

those that have gone to see Lilo and Stitch how was that? I was thinking goofys kitchen. But one of our group memebrs eats almost nothing. And aordering off the regular Menu might be better for her..

Just wondering how you liked the Hawiian Theme. Were they good with the kids?

Thanks!

Is the one that eats almost nothing an adult or child???? The food for both adult and children was really good off the menu..The character interaction was wonderful.. We saw Lilo, Stitch, Minnie and Max (think there was one other character). The kids had a ball and the character were great.. They played a game with Stitch and Max to add to the fun...

Chip and Dale breakfast is in the Grand California. It is a really nice breakfast, our kids loved it.

the one who eats almost nothing is 4. Top Ramen and a cup of milk will do for her all day...

I thnk we will do Lilo and Stitch as the grown ups liked the menu..

Doez any one have the dining reservation number..

Thanks..

The Lilo and Stick Breakfast is one of our favorites in Disneyland. When we were there it was Lilo, Stick, Minnie and Pluto. Every 20 minutes they bring out an activities director and she has the children doing a Hula and then playing some games about Hawaii.

Eventhough I am not a big Buffet fan, I love this one, because of the choices. Island style food. The Coconut & pinapple scones are excellent. Banana Smoothies, Salmon (yes for breakfast, yum), California scrambled eggs (egg whites and spinach), Island styled scrambled eggs, miso soup (sp), white rice.

While we have done the storyteller's breakfast before, they also have a "camp counselor" that comes out and interacts with the children and the characters. such as letting a child hid the muffin from Meeko and other games. I wasn't as impressed with the interaction of the charcaters and the tables were so close together it made it hard for the characters to get around.
