character locations

Is there a page that would tell you where you can find different characters at Disneyland? What character meals include which characters? Which characters can be found at each character spot? I'm more familiar with Disney World but this family is going to Disneyland this weekend. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to ask the mom what characters they want to find.

We used the Disneyland app and it was great for telling us where characters would be located and when. I don't think it tells you characters for each meal as that is sometimes subject to change.

We did the Surf's up breakfast last time as I think that's the only character meal with Mickey. Have the plaza on my list this time as I heard there is Minnie's and usually pooh and tigger but also lots of other characters too!

I've read that the Star Wars characters hang out in Tomorrowland, where the SW attractions are. You can meet Chewie and Kylo Ren in the SW Launch Bay. And Darth Vader & Darth Maul make an appearance with some stormtroopers during the Jedi Training Academy show. I'm going next week and have been researching the same thing! So if you're looking for any other characters I might be able to help. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks!! I think they are leaving tomorrow so I'll see if there are any more characters. I guess this week is spring break week for them so she thought what better way to celebrate her son's 5th birthday then DL. She has a daughter, 8 too.

No problem! What a great mom. If it's his birthday, they can go to City Hall in the parks (or to the front desk if they're staying at a Disney hotel) and receive a special birthday button for her son (it's free). The cast members and even other guests will see it and wish him a happy birthday all day, and sometimes you'll even get a free cupcake!

Darth Maul is no longer at Jedi Training, he's been replaced by Kylo. We saw Stormtroopers roaming once, but our friends were told the day before they don't come out anymore. So I think I can chalk that down as lucky.

What character meals include which characters?

In terms of character meals, there aren't a lot of character meals at DLR and most all are breakfast. Characters are subject to change without notice and the ones listed below are the ones most commonly mentioned, but they may not be there on the day you visit.

• Plaza Inn (breakfast) - Minnie and friends (e.g., Eeyore, Tigger, Max, Rafiki, Fairy Godmother, Chip & Dale, Captain Hook - not all, some combination, varies)
• Ariel's Grotto (breakfast and lunch) - Ariel and Princesses (e.g., Rapunzel, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Tiana - not all, some combination, varies)
• Storytellers (breakfast) - Chip, Dale, and other woodland friends (usually Koda, Kenai, and Meeko)
• Goofy's Kitchen (all meals) - Goofy and friends (usually Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Minnie)
• PCH Grill (breakfast) - Mickey and friends (usually Pluto, Daisy, and Stitch).

Koda left Storytellers at some point last fall. Currently only Kenai and Meeko appear besides Chip and Dale.

Minnie is a regular at the Surf's Up Breakfast as well.
