Just back from a second trip within a month to DLP and i have to say the character interaction when you queue up to meet a character is in my opinion, beats Florida. And Florida is good for character meets!

Last month when i went i wasnt prepared for the long waits when meeting the characters.
But now i know how it works at DLP when getting in line for characters and am prepared to wait that bit extra. It is very much worth it.

Thumper was amazing this morning. Miss Bunny was with him but when they were both due to come back from their break it was just Thumper.

He didnt disappoint. He spent time with each guest and made a real effort.

Marie was on top form aswell.

There were a few impromtu meet and greets with pluto and goofy. There were in adventureland yesterday and discoveryland today. Both wearing their normal attire. There were no lines for them but for what i could see people were being patient and waiting their turn. With these meets it seemed more of a quick photo and a hello then next person. This is what i was used to, this more like character interaction at WDW.

Very impressed with character interaction at DLP.

Being a first timer with my kids, 9 and 7, are there any must meets that we don't see here in the FL parks? Thank you. I am so nervous about going since it seems so different from here. Am I wrong or is it similar? Thank you and glad you had a great trip!

When are you going to DLP?

What are you nervous about? The people? Or the stories of lack of queuing?

Tell me all your fears and we can go through them.

We are going June 25- Jul 01. I am nervous about the meal plan. I don't understand it and am not getting much help from my agent. I have found this to be the best place to find information. So many mixed reviews though about the food and the places to eat. I also found out from here that tons of renovations are happening. I planned 6 days! Maybe to many? We do plan on going to Paris one day too. I hear that the queuing is a big issue. Is it? Are people running to the FPass like they do in the USA? Thanks so much for any information you can give.

There is alot to see and do in Paris. You thought about splitting the time in half. 3 days is Paris and 3 days in disneyland Paris? Good that you have six days so you wont have to rush.
Peter Pan/Big Thunder will be down when you visit. Maybe the railroad too.

I dont find DLP as stressful as WDW. WDW seems to have that intense vibe about it. Not even DL in california has that.
You must do snow white and pinonchio as they dont have those rides in Florida.
Caseys train is a very slow rollercoaster and alices ladybrinth in a maze which also the States doesnt have.
Phantom Manor which is similar to Haunted Mansion is magic.

With regards to characters they do have lines now which is good. Some characters will pop up with no lines but i dont bother with these. People dont seem to push and shove like they did years ago. Which is good. Not sure if you will see any characters in DLP that you cant see in America. The characters when you get in line to meet them seem to spend alot more time woth guests than in the US.

Some guests smoke in areas of the parks which they shouldnt.

DLP guide online will give you this weeks show and character schedule to give you an idea.

If you in DLP on a sunday try and book inventions brunch at the Disneyland Hotel. It not cheap. Around 60 euros an adult but different character themes every sunday. It between 1pm-3pm.

I will try and find you some links.

You also need to see the dragon under the castle (main park), the Ratatouille ride in Studios, and don't forget to catch the Dreams! show at closing time in the main park.

Thank you so much! That helps me a lot. I see that they are very similar to the US, so that relieves some stress. Plus, they are saying that there are characters back at the hotels as well. Thank you for the "must do's". We will be sure to do them! I only ran through DL in CA, but remember it being smaller than DW. I am glad then that we have extra time incase my kids make me wait on long lines! LOL!!!!
Inventions is at our hotel, so I believe we automatically get breakfast there. Brunch sounds really amazing! We are only there one Sunday, so I will be sure to take your advice and go. Thank you so much Sunshine1 for all your help to make it magical!
