Character interaction at AK char.bkfast

O.K., so I've read the bad reviews (and found some good one's, that is why the PS stands as is) and we have a PS for Donald's Breakfastasaurs our first morning at the parks since we'll be at AK that morning. I am concerned mainly with the reviews of character interaction - with them going real quick and there being a line to see Mickey. Is this true? Do they spend adequate time with the kids? Does each table get a chance to see Mickey or is it a free-for-all? Any help with this would be very helpful to us.

When we were there last May, the characters each came around once and didn't stay too long. There was no line for Mickey, since he went from table to table like the rest of the characters. In comparison, the character interaction at Donald's was better than at CRT and PSB, but not as good as Garden Grill and 1900 Park Fare. I'd rate Donald's as average. If you're looking for some good interaction with Mickey and the gang, try Garden Grill.

I second that! Garden Grill has the best interaction that we've done. That being said, we've done Donald's 3 times and enjoyed it each time. CP was the worst interaction IMHO.

At Donald's breakfast in October 2004, the character interraction was good. Each one came to the table, hugged all the kids (there were 5 in our group) signed all of their autograph books & then posed for pics. I thought they stayed long enough considering the place was packed.

Hmmm... when we ate at Donald's breakfast, there was a CM that came to the table just before the character - warning us the character was on the way and get those cameras and autograph books ready. I felt the interaction was very rushed.

We had the same experience--our CM told us to grab something quick off the buffet or we would miss the characters. I agree with the other posters on the Garden Grill--we had lots of attention from the characters and Mickey came by the table 2 or 3 times during our meal.

We've always had great character interaction at Breakfastosaurus. All character come around to the table, there aren't any lines to stand in to see Mickey or anyone else.

We've been to Donald's 5 times, and we've always found the character interaction to be good. While I agree the best character interaction we've had was at Garden Grill, with the characters coming around several times and really stopping to play a while, we still think the interaction at Donald's is good enough to keep going back. The characters all come around to the table and stop plenty long enough for hugs and pictures. Of course, the main draw for us is knowing that we get to see Donald.

We go every year, and have found the character interaction to be pretty good. At least in our experience, it's much better than the Crystal Palace, and about the same as Chef Mickeys. It is smaller than either of those other two, and we just think the overall experience is better.

Thanks everyone! I guess we will take our chances. We did Garden Grill for dinner last year and LOVED the character interaction. My DH doesn't care for the food there, so unless they have breakfast (which I know they don't) we won't be returning. We'll give it a whirl at Donald's, we're also going to go to OHana's for character breakfast for a new try this year too.
