Character Dinning

This is an odd question but what have you discussed with the characters when you meet them or they stop by your table? Want to have fun so I was thinking about asking specific questions such as...hey Cinderella who did you date before meeting Prince Charming?

Only face characters talk -- AKA princesses and we usually start with a you look beautiful or a nice to meet you. We are not that witty, but I am sure they will go along with however you start.

My son and Ariel had a pretty long conversation about the stuffed Ewok he had with him at the Princess Storybook Breakfast.

The non-faces might not talk, but they can really take the mickey (pardon the pun)
The first time I took Dh2B he gave me a big kiss in garden Grill because he was having such a great holiday, and Chip n Dale saw and started making smoochy faces and hand gestures.....
To the OP I love your question for Cinderella. I'm sure providing your question wasn't rude or likely to spoil the magic for any kids nearby that they would play along.

Thanks for the responses. Not looking to say anything inappropriate as my kids we be with us but don't want standard boring chit chat. I know some of the characters won't talk (I wore a Clifford Costume for a book fair this year) so I get that but after hearing about how the Step-Sisters were a riot, I thought more interaction would make it fun.

With the costumed/masked characters we just say Hi and give them a hug...since we are 2 adults they do not spend much time with us

For face characters...well, that is different. We have done 1900 PF dinner and the Norway breakfast twice and all three meals were with our nieces so the characters spent more time with them but my DH always says to the Princesses "Nice Dress" and that gets a chuckle.
