Character Dinners At Universal??

We are going to Universal for the first time in August - for 4 days before heading off to WDW - staying at the HRH -- I heard that there are "character dinners" at some of the hotels/restaurants - we have a 5 yo and a 9yo....anybody heard of this ????? Thanks for your input!

Swing in for a Character Breakfast at Islands Of Adventure!
Have breakfast at Islands of Adventure with Spider-Man® and the Cat in the Hat from park opening to 10:30 a.m. everyday at Confisco Grille. The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Call 407-224-4012 for reservations.

Royal Pacific Island's Restaurant has Shrek on Tuesdays and a "Universal Character" dinner on Saturdays. Not sure of the times or anything though.
