We are going June of 2003 and was wondering which place Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palce had the best food and the most attention from the characters:confused:

Thanks for the info:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

You should probably pick by which characters you like.

From a food/character standpoint - we found the food at Crystal Palace and the interaction better than Chef Mickeys. But, Chef Mickeys was more lively and fun.

That being said, you will find people either love or hate CP. A lot of the food on the buffet is unusual and not typical buffet food which a lot of people can't relate to. I.E. my favorite dish was a jalapeno corn custard. Despite the jalapeno, it really was not too spicey. It was simply delicious. But, I would imagine that a lot of people wouldn't even try it once they saw the name.

Chef Mickeys is more typical buffet food. However, it was more average in quality.

Last two times we did CM we found it rather bad and the character interaction wasn't that great either. Granted that has been a couple of years ago but it was bad enough for us to say "Never again". CP on the other hand is pretty good. It is the only character meal we are doing this trip.

I agree with honeymom. It really depends on which characters you like. CM has Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, with Goofy, Donald, and Pluto wandering around sometimes. CP has characters from Winnie-the-Pooh. We did CM in January and loved it...the interaction with the characters was fine to me and with four children under 7 this was the perfect place. We got to meet the Mouse and didn't even have to stand in line!!! Food was normal buffet items with the kids getting to decorate their own cupcakes. I must be honest and say this is the only character meal we've done...so I don't have alot of experience. We're trying Tony's breakfast in November (it's taking the place of CP during renovation) and dinner at CRT.

We did CM & CP for breakfast during our first trip. DH thought CP had much better food than CM, a point he reminds me about anytime I mention going back to CM. I agree with him that on that trip, the food was better at CP but I loved the lively atmosphere at CM plus the adorable photos we got of dd who was crazy about Minnie at the time. HTH!

We did the dinner at Chef Mickey's on Saturday night. The food was excellent, however you can hardly enjoy it due to all the action.......the characters came around to the tables. Mickey came while we were getting our food, so we had to wait on him to come around again. The Princess Breakfast, we enjoyed because the food is brought to the table, it was pretty good and we had 15 minutes before the characters, so we actually got to eat.
