Can anyone give me some character dining reccomendations? I have a 6 years old son and a soon to be 2 year old daughter. I wanted to do 2 of the character dinings. I would like to do one with Mickey, Minnie and the gang and then one with cinderella or princess theme. Which ones are the best??

Chef Mickey at the Contmeporary Resort is our favorite for either breakfast or dinner. Mickey, Minnie and the gang are all here, one stop characters! We try to get in on our first night for dinner and then take the monorail ride around the resorts and parks. My kids love it, we'll be there on Sunday for dinner! :cool1:
For Princesses we love 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for dinner. They have Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Suzy & Perla. The food is really good too. We've done CRT in the Castle -- which was amazing -- but we're gonna wait until DD is a bit older to do it again, maybe Oct.

Another fun one is Donald's Breakfastosarus at the Animal Kingdom. This breakfast character buffet has Donald, Goofy, Mickey and Pluto. My DS13 swears this is the best breakfast! We try to hit this one about 45 minutes before the park opens so by the time we're done the park is just about opening.

Oh yea, there's Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet! This was my DS1 favorite last year. He wanted to play with Eeyore the whole time!
Check out this link http://allearsnet.com/din/cb.htm They have a description of all the character meals. Have fun planning! :thumbsup2

My kids love Chef Mickey's (DD14 and DS10). We have also done Crystal Palace and Cape May and liked them also. This year when I gave the kids a choice they chose to do Crystal Palace (Pooh & friends) since we didn't make it there last year...but they both politely let me know that Chef Mickey's is still their favorite.;)

Enjoy your trip!

ditto for Chef Mickey's - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale I believe. 1900 Park Fare was amazing but you will only see one princess so you are better to go with the one in EPCOT in Norway (AKURSHUS??). We did a breakfast there and it was great and all of the DD's favourite princesses were there - Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Belle, Jasmine and Snow White! We have also done CRT in the castle and I didn't like it - it's the busiest restaurant and you know it by the way they rush you through.

Years ago we dined at Hollywood and Vine with Mickey and Minne at MGM and loved it and then they took it away but I hear it is back so consider this one too!

Princess breakfast in Norway was great, Crystal palace for breakfast or dinner is good, Liberty Tree tavern (Minnie, Goofy, chip and Dale) is another good one, we have never done breakfast at Chef Micky's, but di have dinner there twice..my kids had a great time.

chef mickeys was great you get mickey and minny, pluto, goofy and donald. the interactions were fantastic, my kids who ranged in age from 7 to 14 had a great time.

I have not done cinderellas royal table, but akershus in Norway, was wonderful, 5 princess's!

I second Chef Mickey's and the Princess Storybook Dining at Epcot. We went to both in Dec with a 5y/o princess and 2 2y/o princes, not to mention 2 infant princesses and had a great time. The Character interaction at both were great. At both places, the CM made sure that each of the characters came to our table at least once.

Thanks for all of the info. I just got off the phone from making our dining reservations. We are going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and we are also going to the Grand Floridian to the Cinderella dinner. I am so excited!!! I can't wait!

Our favorites are Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare.

We did the Princess Storybook lunch in Norway/Epcot and weren't that thrilled. We'd already seen all of the Princesses there and the food was just okay. I didn't leave feeling full like I did at CP and PF.

Where do you go to make reservations???

Call 1-407-WDW-DINE
1-407-939-3463

Have your dates and selections made and call.
Reservations can be made 180 days in advance!

Thinking about going to ohanas, My DS loves stitch. I think this is the only place that features him.

Last year we did,
Cinderella's Castle and Akurshus.
My Daughter (5) she loved it.

In Cinderella's Castle you get a "free" photoshoot with Cinderella.

With a Girl I can recommend both Restaurants

This year we go back, and she can choose between CC or Akurshus.

We will also go to Cheff Mickey.

Where do you go to make reservations???

Call the ADR number (407)939-3463. You can begin making reservations 180 days out from your trip. Depending on what time of year you are going should determine how soon you want to start making those ADR's. If you are going at peak season start ASAP if not I think it's still best to do them sooner rather than later because the usual dinner times fill up fast. You can though also wait til you arrive and either call the restaurant you want to dine at or talk to the concierge at your resort, assuming you are staying on-site.

Looks like OP is all set now, but I would have recommended Chef Mickeys for sure (dinner or breakfast.) Then I would consider 1900 Park Fare for dinner OR the Princess Storybook Meal (Breakfast only) in Epcot. Another fun breakfast we did was the MGM Playhouse Disney breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. My girls loved seeing the Little Einsteins (June and Leo) and Jojo.

I love character meals and have done Chef Mickey's for breakfast twice and loved it both times. This trip we are also doing 1900 Park Fare for the first time, as much to see the Grand Floridian as anything else. We also have breakfast booked at Chrystal Palace, Donald's Breakfastasaurus and Cindy's.
