Character Dining Without...

The characters? I would like to enjoy character dining at Crystal Palace and Tusker House, not for the character interaction, (DH and I are going alone) but for the opportunity to get in the park early...anyone know if we can request to not have the character interaction to help move the process along a little more quickly?

Don't know, but if you are not into the characters, as they approach the table, just smile and do the hug or not, once they see no camera is out they move along, pretty quick too if no children are there.

Another thing you can do is as they approach say "thank you you have already visited us" and they move along with a wave.

You won't get "into" the park any sooner, other than the restaurant. You will still have to wait for rope drop.

We ate at Crystal Palace in september with an 8:20 adr with kids and still saw all the characters and were able to be waiting for the official rope drop threw Cinderella's Castle at a bit before 9! The secret... get the check as SOON as you put in your drink order and pay right away! It was easy and very fast! We didn't feel rushed at all but made rope drop with a few min. to spare!
