When we went to Goofy's Kitchen last year, tax and gratuity were included in the per person price. Is this true for all character dining locations? Just trying to figour out our meal budget.
Thanks!

At Ariel's Grotto I don't believe it was in the per person price. Gratuity was added to the bill automatically, although I don't recall the percent.

It was added to the bill at the new Mickey mean at the PPH.

You have to be careful because you pay at the table and if you pay by credit card the CC receipt you sign as the typical spot for a tip. Real easy to double tip if you are not paying attention.

I think that tax and gratuity are only included if you use a voucher. If you go to the restaurant and pay there, I am pretty sure that 8.75% tax and 18% gratuity are added when you pay.

If you call Disney Dining they should be able to tell you. The CM I spoke with last year when booking Ariel's was able to tell me the exact cost including tax and tip. :goodvibes

All the character meals (except Storytellers Cafe) will automatically include the tax and gratuity when pay, because there is generally one flat rate for the adults and one flat rate for the kids at each place. At Storytellers Cafe Critter Breakfast, however, you have the option of doing the buffet OR ordering from the menu and the price won't necessarily be the same for everyone, so they don't charge you up front. They just bring the total bill at the end of the meal like any regular restaurant and I added my own tip on there when I signed the credit card receipt.

Gratuity is 15% (not 18%), and yes, the sales tax for restaurants and merchandise in DLR is 8.75 % (not to be confused with the 15% tax charged on the DLR hotel bills!!).
