My 8yo DD really wants to dine at Ariel's Grotto and see the princesses. My 10yo DD says she doesn't, but I see that possibly longing in her eye. She's right on the edge there of too cool, and still loving the magic. If I were to make reservations for just the littlest and myself, will I be able to bring the older one if she decides she wants to go too, on the day of? Or will they hold us to the Party of Two?

Make your reservation for the most who might show up. They won't penalize you for bringing one less. But they might not be able to seat you with one extra.

Oh, good plan. I thought they charged your card ahead of time and I didn't want to lose the money if she decided it wasn't her thing.

There are a couple restaurants at WDW that charge in full ahead of time. Off the top of my head I can't think of any at DLR. Ariel's Grotto does not. The CC is just to guarantee that your party (at least some of it) shows up.
