This December I am spending a father / daughter weekend just me (29) and dad (62) --- So I am trying to plan things he and I hve never done before - We have done LTT - but that is about it for character meals - I wanted to schedule at least one my December visit - b/c my plan is to take all the photos of me and my dad with characters and make a Dad, Mickey, and Me scrapbook for Fathers Day 2006.

So any suggestions which character meals are great for adults would be awesome.

Thanks
Laura

I'm not a huge fan of Garden Grille (I've been treated extremely rudely there by the CM's on 2 separate occasions), but they have more of an "adult" setting with characters. This is the restaurant that slowly rotates to give different views of The Land, and basically the characters stand on the static outer ring and go into the booth within the rotating circle that has rotated to them at that time.

However, it's just now reopening I think from being closed for some time to make room for Soarin'. I don't know if they still have the character meals there. Hopefully, closing down for a while also weeded out the awful CM's who served us there. Food was actually quite good.

My wife and I went to Animal Kingdom before the kids were born and ate at Donald's Breakfastsaurus......it was great. Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, among a few others. It is laid out with a main room, then multiple smaller rooms that have approx 10 tables each. Works out great because each character comes in and works the room. We got pictures with all of them.

We ended up going back with our kids last year and they enjoyed it as well.

Thanks so much!
I think I will look into both - since I can do one for lunch one day and breakfast the other! Thanks!

Breakfast at the Crystal Palace in MK is wonderful...characters are from Winnie the Pooh...

Obviously lot of little kids will be there, but we thought the breakfast buffet was great, and a wonderful way to start of a day in the park!

Love your scrapbook idea. I am sure it will be a hit. Get the characters autographs too, and scan them so you can make them what ever size you want, and add each characters' autographs with your pictures too.

We really like Cape May Cafe character breakfast. We've been twice with all adults in our party and it was great. I also love Crystal Palace but for a father/daughter meal, I think Goofy and friends would be better than Pooh and friends.....

P.S. we're from RI too :)

We really like the dinner buffet at 1900 Park Faire. We have always found the food to be a notch above other buffets. The characters are from Cinderella--Cinderella, the Prince, Suzy and Perla Mouse and the Fairy Godmother.

Whatever you decide, I hope you and your dad enjoy a magical trip!

Breakfast at Ohanas is fun! And, the characters are cute with their leis!
