We will be there over spring break (3/31-4/7). Although it may be late to get a reservation, we do want to try to do at least one character meal somewhere for our 3 year old son.

Does anyone have suggestions?

For a character meal, try the crystal palace for lunch in the magic kingdom on main street, or Chef Mickeys in the contemporary for dinner.

I suggest the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom also, It's my favorite, they have a great breakfast with Pooh and the gang. Another place is at Donald's Breakfastosaurus at Animal Kingdom and they have a good breakfast with Donald, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto.

Here's our top picks:

Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends at MK (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Chef Mickey's at Contemporary with Mickey and friends (breakfast and dinner only)
Hollywood & Vine with Jo Jo, Goliath and June & Leo from Little Einsteins (breakfast and lunch only).

I think a little boy would totally enjoy these three meals!

Don't forget Garden Grill at Epcot, Farmer Mickey is there. We are going down at the end of April and they had lots of openings for lunch.

Chef Mickey is wonderful in the Contmeporary and if he likes Pooh Crystal Palace is awesome.

The only one I would add to this list is the 'Ohana breakfast at the Poly. Lilo and Stitch, plus Mickey and Pluto were there when we took DD 3. The breakfast was okay, but DD LOVED seeing Stitch and we had the best service there of our trip last September. Overall, our favorite is Crystal Palace though. Great food no matter what meal you choose and we've always had good character interaction there.

Count me in as another fan of Crystal Palace. All my kids love it there. We have always gone during lunch and really like the selection there. Here's some pics of my 2½-year-old daughter and sons, ages 5 & 7. We are going again in June!

Crystal Palace MK (you have a choice of 3 meals to try for)
Donalds Breafastasaurus AK
Ohana - Polynesian (we really enjoyed it - lots of boys were there)

Crystal Palace has Pooh and friends; Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore.

Ariel with legs is scheduled to appear at Princess Storybook lunch and dinner! Belle, in her yellow gown, is scheduled to appear at breakfast, sometimes replaces Ariel at dinner but I've seen Ariel there for lunch twice now.

thanks for the info, what resturant is the princess storybook at? Hotel or Park. I was just on WDW website and could not find it in the dining finder link. thanks so much

The Princess Storybook meal is at Akershus Restaurant in Norway in the World Showcase part of Epcot park.

thanks again. bummer. we are not planning on going to epcot and i hate that you have to use a park ticket to enter the character dining.
