Ok I'm planning the Lilo and Stitch breakfast since we'll be staying at the Poly but would like to have a nice, sit-down dining experience where I can make advance reservations, order a cake for DS (turning 2) with characters. I remember having character dining on a nice boat as a kid, but I don't see this offered. Which resort (or park even, I don't care) offers the nicest experience for a little boy who is not into princesses? :confused3

you mentioned the breakfast on the boat and I immediately remembered that - it was the Empress Lilly! I was there when I was younger. It is Fulton's Crab House now - too bad! :sad1: As for a sit down character meal, I thought of Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom. The food is good and the characters are very neutral. Pluto, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. I would recommend Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters, but that one is a buffet. I'm going to the breakfast at Ohana's when I go next year and I can't wait to see Stitch! :stitch: Wherever you decide to go will be fun because dining with the characters is a blast!!! :earsgirl:

Thanks hulagirl87! I never would have remembered the name of the boat. 23+ years ago but I still remember the experience.

Are there menu's posted anywhere? I don't eat meat or seafood and must plan accordingly?

We loved mickey's bbq and if you tell them in advance they have a veg. meal prepared for you. It is very active and fun. If your little boy likes music and dancing he will love it. We took ds10 ds4 and dd6 last year. We also did Crystal Palace which they loved! but they were 2 totally different experiences. He would also like the bbq if he likes cowboys. He is too young for the pirate cruise. We are doing the lilo and stictch b. next tues. they are also doing the pirate cruise again but the third thing they picked was rainforest cafe. Next year they are hoping for toy story meal yes ds will be 13 when we return next summer and can't wait for this new meal.
