Just found out today while calling Makahiki that Character breakfast as resumed to 7 days a week, instead of the 5 days a week as it says online. The CM on the phone says they still need to update their website.

I did not inquire if it was ever coming back. We'll be making a call back regarding food allergies we have in a matter of days and I will ask then. We are going in mid-May and hoping that the character dinner, AMA AMA, Aunties, and Makahiki buffet returns by then (here's to hoping). Our second time going, first was 2016 and we are going to miss those options.

We booked a Thursday because we wanted breakfast but didn’t want to pay extra for characters. The website still says no characters on Thursday so I guess we will cancel.

Yea we did the opposite. Booked Thursday thinking there was characters, but after reading the website that there was none on Thursday we were going to cancel. I called to ask cancelation policy and that is when they said it is everyday again.

Does the website or confirmation show the pricing? If so, I personally wouldn’t cancel. Just keep a copy of the confirmation or printout of the web page, and call when you arrive to verify pricing. Chances are, if you booked when it was a specific price, they’ll honor the price when you arrive. Worst case, you cancel then because of the price change.

As of right now it is a 3-course fixed menu. I am hoping it returns to buffet very soon. I have two young picky eaters and it works better for me to be able to control what I can put on their plate and load them up on it.

We didn’t try your exact request but did request a side item. We ordered pancake for adults and waffles for the kids. We like some protein with breakfast so we asked if we could have a few sides of scrambled eggs. They just asked how many and it was no problem. I would think a few waffles as a side wouldn’t be an issue. I had planned on asking if none of my kids wanted them since I wanted to try the red velvet one.

Is it worth doing the character breakfast while it is a 3 course meal even though you get character interaction? I have only 1 under 10 but 2 “adult” kids that have been to Disney parks a lot - so does the price justify the experience?

Pre-covid it was worth every penny... Havent tried since.
