Character dining advice for adults

i have a group going at Easter and we want to do one experience with classic characters. We are all adults so looking for guidance on best choice between Chef Mickey and Ohana. Looking at breakfast - which has better food? What is the difference in character interaction?

I would choose Ohana. It's served family style at your table so less of a variety than CM, but AYCTE and much more relaxing than getting up for a buffet. The atmosphere at Ohana is a lot less hectic than CM, too.

Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch meet at Ohana. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto at CM.

Another nice character breakfast to consider is Cape May at Beach Club. Delicious buffet and pretty low key. Minnie, Goofy and Donald meet in their beach attire.

The food is mediocre at both, IMHO, but you'll have more variety both in food and characters at Chef Mickey. CM is the ONLY character meal on property where you will meet the fab five. It's also pretty cool to watch the monorail go through CR while you are eating your meal. It's really a quintessential WDW experience. For better food, consider Tusker House in AK if you can do a meal in a park.

We love breakfast at CP in the MK, TH at AK, and Cape May at BC. Have never done Ohana so can't comment. Nothing wrong with CM but we like the other ones I mentioned a lot better.

I've never done Chef Mickey's, and haven't done Ohana since 2004, but my first reaction was, Tusker House! If you can work your schedule to eat breakfast inside AK, Tusker is good with some nice and unusual variety, and you get Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy. I had a PPO breakfast there a couple of years ag and am booked for another next year.

I would pick Ohana, except for the fact that you used the phrase, "one experience with classic characters." I love Ohana and our family would do that, BUT we've done Chef Mickey's before. As someone else said, that's the only place where you'll get the fab 5 classic characters. Love Lilo and Stitch at Ohana but those don't meet the requirement for "classic" IMO. I also definitely agree with whoever said that Ohana will be less chaotic than Chef Mickeys.

When the meals aren't super pick based on characters you would prefer. Also keep Cape May in mind in addition to Tusker House.

DH and I are doing the breakfast at The Garden Grill this trip. We liked the dinner and LOVE the character interaction there.

I would honestly vote neither, and suggest Cape May or Tusker House. Tusker House. Of the two, Tusker House (to me) is far more enjoyable.

I would vote for either Cape May or Tusker House. I think Tusker House has better food, but if you don't want to go into a park, Cape May is going to give you the classic characters without the craziness of Chef Mickey's. The food is likely going to be a bit better.

We did CM on our last trip and I was not a fan of the food at all. We have done the buffet at Cape May for breakfast in the past as just an adults trip and I really enjoyed it. The food was good and the character interaction was fun for the 2 of us.

Personally, I think 1900 Park Fare is the best character dining experience on property. You can't beat the Mad Hatter. The CM who has been regularly playing him for the last few years is fantastic. The characters are "less traditional" - but the interactions are very nice.

Another vote for 1900 Park Fare. Best breakfast buffet in Disney IMO.

Of the two, definitely Ohana.....but I'd recommend Garden Grill.

I would also choose Ohana over CM, BUT..... I would choose Tusker House over both of them. We are a group of adults and love TH breakfast. They have "regular" breakfast foods and some interesting (and delicious!) choices.
Also, Ohana is no longer serving bacon at breakfast, and Stitch was meeting guests outside the restaurant.

Thanks all! Tusker House is on the list - and hoping for a RoL package on it! I got a request from the group for princesses so we will do that one and Akershus (as I don't think CRT is worth 2 table credits).

Thinking about Ohana still - but glad to know the menu is different and Stitch is outside. I was there 10 years ago and it was just more relaxing than most of the character greets for me (no buffet, smaller room, good view) - sounds like it is similar but with some changes.
