I also posted this on Trip reports but thought maybe it should go here. But if not Sorry.

Wanted to let you all know we went to disney in May 2006 and had a awesome incounter at Epcot. We got there when the park opened (regular time) and DH and DN went to Soarin so I pushed our 3 year old around. I noticed the Character greets on the map and went to the Character Connection? I had never been there my son was very excited to see Mickey. To my surprise we walked in and there was no one else there. DS started with Mickey then Went to Minnie and got very excited he was dancing the whole time with the music he then saw chip and dale and ran over and started dancing with them. They started dancing too and got wore out and started rolling on the floor. DS started rolling too ( I was scared DS would tackle them but he didn't) To my surprise Chip went and grabbed Minnie and pulled her and Donald into their area and then Goofy came over my DS had the whole room of characters dancing with him. the photographer was just snapping away he said " I love this his energy is great" The whole time Mary Poppins stood by me asking questions about DS. He then posed with her and gave her a hug and went back to the group. I felt like we should leave but still no one had come into to see the characters. Finally I pulled him away after he blew each a kiss. I was so happy I had tears in my eyes seeing that special magic that came alive in my DS.

Will this still be open during the Food & Wine Festival? thanks!

Charater Connection is one of our favorites too because there are rarely many people and it's not hot :sunny: in there. I'm sure it's because it's new and once more people find out about it, it will be crowded too. :guilty:

I know I was debating on telling my story because I don't want it to be crazy when we go there in Feb. But it was the greatest thing so I had to share it and hope others have a great experience too!!!!! :wizard: Pixie Dust*************

I don't think everyone here knowing would make a difference....that's not what I meant by any means...I just meant EVERYONE in general. :thumbsup2

They were also opened on EMH's on our last trip .

Most people never noticed because it did close at night as normal then reopened for the EMH. We went through twicw with no lines at all (once towards the beginning and then as we left the parks as DW was getting our Free Visa photo.)

Where exactly is it located? Thanks~

When you go pass the SSE on the right theres a path through Innoventions west that leads up to The land & The SEA.

As your facing that path it's on the left hand side on Inoventions West. Theres a sandwich type sign right before the doors.

Character Connnection is great!! The first time we found it was December 2005. What an awesome experience. There were about 8 characters including Minnie, Pluto, Pinnochio, Goofy and Mary Poppins. Always a stop for us now. And to top it off the A/C is great on those hot days.

What exactly is SSE?? :confused3 Can't think what this may be.

We are planning on stopping there. it would be wonderful to see the characters and be comfortable at the same time. Hopefully it isn't too crowded when we stop by so we can have a little extra time with them.

We love the Character Connection. We were told right before our last trip about it, so we made up our minds that we were not going to miss it. I'm so glad we didn't. The first time, we took our GS in, and he loved it. This was in June so it was a little crowded but not too bad. The next time we went to Epcot he wanted to go again he loved it so much. Then DH and I had a little time by ourselves, and we went and got our pictures taken with all the characters. I hope it stays for a while. It's really nice to go in where it's cool to get your pics taken. It's especially great for the characters.

We love the character connection too. When you first enter the building the characters that are there vary. We saw Goofy and Max, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Prince John and Alice. You then go and enter from one location and you see the characters in order. You have Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Chip and Dale. They are always the same on the inside. It's very organized with roped off areas for each character. The CM's make sure that everybody see the character in order. There's also a photo pass photog with each of the characters on the inside.

On our last day DS (5) wanted to go and see the characters in EPCOT. We arrived there between 9:00-9:30 and we had the characters to ourselves. DS saw Mickey and ran towards him and he fell. Next thing I know all of the characters were around him and posed for a picture with him.

That was cool. :thumbsup2

oh my gosh.
so thats what it is. well thats awesome.
when I was in EPCOT in late March I saw that building and it had a sign that said "Character Connection" but not a soul was in there so I didn't go in. I thought the characters were away on break or something or they were closed or you had to have a special tour to go there because I'm telling you, it was empty.
but, I'll definitely have to have a look in November.

shh...can't you people keep a lid on it :rolleyes1 Everytime we are there we hit the CC first thing in the morning. EVERY time we have had the characters all to ourselves!! Now you've gone a ruined it  Oh well, guess I'll have to learn to share.
