Hi --
I will be leaving for WDW in 3 days and was wondering where the Character Connection is at EPCOT, which characters have been in there while you have been there and what are the times it is "open"?

Thanks. . .

I am told it is the "Fab 5" at all times in the main section and than "extras" in the outer lobby. We saw the fab 5 plus Daisy, Chip & Dale. It was much quicker (which is good IMHO) than waiting in Toontown lines. Enter by Cool Station (aka coke) by the counter food service bakery, it's right behind there

Yep! I visited two weeks ago, and found it was basically a Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale meet with an occassional Donald and Daisy. (Yawn). There is a main area where those characters meet, but sometimes a few extra characters could be in the hallway by the exit. We saw Baloo, Prince John, and Gideon there. Someone also told me they saw Rafiki and Mary Poppins there, too (if Mary was there, she was probably there only in the morning).

The Epcot Bus had a far better variety of characters!! Disney, bring it back!!! :(

The character connection is near The Land and The Living Sea's. I didn't visit there when we were at Epcot. There are also a few character greeting spots in the World Showcase.

One in Morocco (we saw Genie there), One in France (Beauty & the Beast characters), one in the United Kingdom and one at the Showcase Plaza. I didn't see the one in the United Kingdom, but the one in Morocco is a small room at the back of one of the gift shops at the back of the Morocco showcase. The one in France is also a small room in back or to the side of a gift shop. There was nothing going on when I went by.

When we were there from 12/3-12/9 we saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Donald, Goofy, Snow White, and 1 other odd character that I didn't really know, he was like a fox with a blue cape.

We only went thru twice. I will check it out again in March, there was really no wait time and my daughter had a blast.

Thanks,

I think your FOX was ROBIN HOOD.

We went throught the Character Connection on Tuesday, 12/06/05. Our DD5, DD4 and DS2 loved it! We got tons of pictures and autographs. We got there right after 9:00AM and it allowed our kids to have plenty of time with all of the characters.

Captain Hook greeted us outside the door. We then met Mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck. Near the exit, we met Mary Poppins, Baloo and Mr. Smee.

The fox must have been Foulfellow, one of the bad guys from Pinocchio! Robin Hood is also a fox, but wears green. There is a third fox, Brer Fox, but he really has not been out in years (maybe couple of appearances over the summer or something!), and wears yellow and green, I think.

I did not know princesses show up in the Character Connection! Snow White is the first princess I heard of being in that location. Was she there in the morning? I would guess, as she would head to World Showcase later when it opens. But great to hear there are some different characters there! :)

I love Sir Foulfellow! He tried to "steal" my children and take them to the Island of Lost Boys during Character morning at BWI. He was really into it, walked them right out of the lobby and down the hall! It was so funny! :rotfl2: Another great character is Mad Hatter, he created such chaos outside of Toon Town Hall. He was yelling "There is no line people, there is no line" as we parents were nicely lining our kids up to meet him. :rotfl2:

Howdy,

Snow White was out in the hallway and it was in the afternoon on Thursday 12/8. It was raining and we didn't have our backpack so I didn't have a camera or autograph book.

Thanks,

A rainy day?? Thanks for the info! I am just curious about having a princess in there - maybe Germany was too wet for Snow White to meet! I am glad to hear that maybe this Character Connection won't just be another Classic Mickey and friends meet! Nice to know some other characters have been spotted! :)

Just saw the fab 5 as well as Pinochio and Robin Hood there 3 or 4 days ago.

When you walk into Epcot from the main entrance proceed toward the Land through the Innoventions West area, it's right on the left as you turn.

We were there yesterday and although it was quicker than Toontown, once word gets out and it gets busier it'll be real tough to keep it quick. You pretty much have to see the first character which luckily for us was Mickey. Then you can skip others if you prefer, but I kinda thought some of it was a waste because we had to wait until 2 people in front of us did their Mickey photos while Pluto, Chip & Dale stood around with no one visiting with them-they didn't know what to do? Then, by the time we got to Pluto, he had to take a break and although it wasn't long Dale went on break and they switched him out with Donald. SO, if your child is waiting in line they will see who is there but it doesn't mean that character will be there by the time they get up there.

I know this may be hard to understand unless you've been there. I just think they need a better "system" as this won't work if it gets busy because it will take a long time. It is very new and a lot of people don't know about it. I prefer the bus because of the assortment of characters. I know it was rushed, but it was here as well and if you spend a lot of time with the characters and there's people waiting, you're just making their waiting time longer.

We didn't stop at the character connection, however we saw Captain Hook standing outside the main door - I think he was attempting to draw in visitors. Through the glass we saw Chip and Dale and Mary Poppins.
